    why you sound so mad?

Mad it if you want but if you don't want it then don't mad it.

Both OP and you would make a solid hiring addition to any large corporation’s ethics department

I read and then found out that I didn’t want to read it. Refund?

  • any good?

    • Its thick and harder to spread than others. I also don't like the smell much

      • +25

        We're still discussing moisturiser, right?

    • any good?

      It's good for me.

    • agree with @ozbagends, has a strongish smell, I much prefer QV moisturiser.

    • Not a fan personally. The scent is… odd and I find it makes me look greasy by lunchtime.

    • The pump gets stuck down, so you have to pull it back up manually for a second squirt, and you'll need a second squirt because if it's been sitting for a while the first squirt is mostly air.

      • Never had a problem with that and I've used it for the past two years

        • Well it does come up but very slowly, so unless you want to wait an eternity for your second pump you'll need to pull it up yourself.

      • All of the sukin moisturisers even the night cream i have tried all do this, its pretty trash

    • +1

I like Sukin moisturiser. They are pretty good; my wife is a moisturiser snob (only get's natural ones) and loves the generic version but not sure why they created a specific one for men's (outside of the usual marketing reasons). I had a look at the ingredients for Sukin Men's vs Nivea Men's and Nivea does seem to be have a lot more chemicalish ingredients in there (more so than Sukin) but I was surprised to see how much Sukin has these days. I think once you start shifting a lot of stock you need to put more and more chemicals in your ingredients to stop it from caking or going rancid. $7 is good value but it might not be amazing for your skin!

      • +1

Listen to the dermatologists, "chemically compounds" dont mean they're bad for your skin. Skin doesnt absorb natural ingredients well, which is why these skin products have these 'chemicals'.

Hyaluronic acid, glycerin, Sodium PCA are all effective humectants to keep your skin retain water. The most effective moisturizers use these

Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) suppresses melanin production and reduces appearance of fine lines. Vitamin C/E are antioxidants that reduce the impact of free radicals generated by UV rays/coexist in the environment

Putting layers of natural oil on the outside may stop your face from drying out but it feels disgusting and may increase the damage done by UV.

    • I have sensitive skin, and have found that this product can be irritating to my skin unfortunately.

      My goto is Bulldog.

      • +1

using bulldog too, heard good things from CeraVe but it's so expensive

    Upvoted for the description OP.

Also 1/2 price ($8) at the moment at Woolworths if you don't want to wait for delivery..

  • +2

Personally don't recommend. Not so sure which ingredients cause the discomforts.

    • +3

I would counter that and would personally recommend. None of the ingredients (perhaps luckily) cause discomfort.

As with everything, not every product will suit everyone given the myriad of ingredients or chemicals in things today and the delicate, unique flowers that we little humans are.

    • +2

Essential oils (which Sukin are heavy handed using) can be irritating for some peoples skin… just a thought

Honestly men, just get the cerave moisturizer.

Its relatively cheap and it has ceramides and hyaluronic acid. Most of y'all wont need more than that.

    • +1

is it this one that is 3x the price and 1/4 the quantity?

      • +3

I get the 454g moisturising cream tub for about $30 IIRC, lasts a few months with daily usage, only need a little bit as it's thicker.

      • +2

Hardly, Sukin is F tier and Cerave is A tier

      • +1

No i mean this . It's 3x the price but 2x the quantity but infinitely better due to the use of its ceramides/active ingredients.

You only need to use 1 pump for face (i only use about half a pump) and neck every day, its lasted me more than 6 months so far.

And yes, Cerave is A tier, Sukin is F tier.

You might as well mix sesame, coconut, and jojoba oils and put it in your face, is basically going to be as effective as the Sukin products

    • I use Kiehls ultra facial cream. Great stuff but now my face feels rough when im not using it.

  • +13

    Sukin deez nuts

    • +2

      Hence the facial

    • They missed a marketing opportunity here: Sukin Face

    • they are using a lot of nut oil after all

  • Smells like coke bottle lollies. Good enough for me.

  • What if I do but I don’t?

  • What makes this for men compared to the 'womens' version?

    • +2

      Marketing

    • Most likely the scent? Also might have hardening agents to make you look manly…?

      • What if I, as a woman, also want to smell like a 'man' LOL

Jokes aside, what does this one actually smell like? Someone above did describe it as 'coke lolly bottles'

        • Agree and was going to make that comment but on the internet shit tends to stick … :)

  • +1

I’m always confused by mens skincare products. Men don’t have different skin?

    • I reckon beards and/or shaving to remove them impact skin a fair bit.

    • Marketing

    • Yep we do. 25% thicker for one.

Whether that justifies a different moisturiser, idk.

I found this one to be odd-smelling and kinda greasy.

  • Not the best moisturiser for spot-prone skin I don’t think.

  • Anyone got any recommendations on moisturiser with sunscreen built in?

Cheap would be nice, oh and not greasy

    • +1

I've spent a lot of time and money trying to find a non-greasy, sensitive, unfragranced, value one. I'm using this one which is best I've found so far Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturiser for All Skin Types, 118ml https://amzn.asia/d/2K37BOr

If anyone knows of one that meets my wishlist below, please let me know:
      Australian
      No fragrance
      Sunscreen
      Non-greasy
      More natural the better
      For men/non-girly packaging
      Not stupid expensive
Not too gloopy or too runny

      • +1

LaRoche Posay Athelios is a good sunscreen, but it is "runny". It feels light and doesnt cause my eyes to sting if i have sweated a little.

Good things said about Biore Aqua Rich Watery Essence Review here

Otherwise I would use that facial moisturiser you're using or the normal Cerave one since it has Hyaluronic acid and niacinamide

      • By the way probably not a good idea to use this product in the evening, it contains UV filters which are larger molecules, you dont want them to be absorbed by the skin while you sleep.

  • My face feels blocked when I use sucking products.
