  I actually LIKE the light from oldschool Halogen; but car powered, drawing 2 Amp? You'd better know your battery is healthy, or one problem you're working on, will become another within a few hours.

  I wonder what shape of bulb it is? Because there are some great LED replacements out there; could end up a $10 LED spotlight; and that'd be cool.

    It will take a 48Ah battery 24hours of continuous use for this to drain. A few hours won't be a problem for most batteries.

      Correct if you know the health of your battery. Lots of car owners couldn't even LOCATE it though, lol.
      Also don't forget a Lead Acid battery can only be drained about 40% before damage/vdroop which will still leave you stranded.

      Really though; my comment was more about efficiency. My fathers 250Ah truck battery for example will be fine. lol

  ITS all about the LED now.. These things hammer your battery and get bloody hot. Great for 1995 not 2022
