    yes, crazy

    three … thousand … dollars …

  • +5

iphone 14 max pro along will probably cost 3k…

    • Looks like. Samsung raised the bar on prices. I wouldn't surprised if new iPhone Max Pro costs $3k

      • +13

It's a Fold. You can't compare prices on this to a typical smart phone.

Cheaper than original models from memory too.

        • Isn't the pro max 512gb close to 2400?

That's similar to the fold tbh

          • +3

@mbck: Which goes to show how overpriced it is. You can excuse Samsung for charging a premium. It's new tech with a second screen.

        • Definitely different type of phones but considering iPhone 13 Pro Max 512GB is $2300 so it is few $100s cheaper then the Flip 4.

I have a feeling that Samsung and Apple are getting together to decide the prices :)

        • +8

You can fold the iphone too. Just once though. Might have enough change from $3k to buy another.

        • 4th generation now though, not bleeding edge now though.

          Should be cheaper.

          • +1

@Zondor: I thought they may have been taking a hit on atleast the first, maybe 2nd too.

In fairness too, they aren't much more than a top spec S22U.

Still reckon it's priced OK considering

          • @Zondor: Yeah, just like the iPhones getting cheaper each year. I'd expect the 14th generation to be practically free.

            • @elektron: Apples and Oranges this is folding phones we're talking about, not smart phones in general.

              • @Zondor: This doesn't make any sense. Old school candybar iPhoes that sell by hundreds of millions have features removed while the price is increased, but you expect the low-volume Fold, which is much more expensive to R&D and produce, and has three times the screen real estate of an iPhone to get cheaper? Good on Samsung for keeping the price the same, unlike Apple, especially given the massive inflation this year.

    • +1

And these gullible suckers will continue to buy them no matter what they're worth. Apple wins marketing.

  • Not sure the discount is actually worth buying them individually at the education store.

    • +3

Not everyone has access to the education store unfortunately

      • -6

At these prices you make it happen

        Or buy a Poco

      • -5

Everyone has a kid or knows someone with a kid. Could even bribe the neighbours kid if you have to.

  • Looks like you can choose the bundle colour:
    Black
    Green
    Beige

    • +1

Thanks, got every colour! Christmas presents sorted! /s

  • Inflation is here

    • +5

Ripoffs disguised as inflation are here

  • +9

    These prices are criminal

    • A smooth criminal?

      • +4

        Annie, are you okay?

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

        • Tough luck Annie.

  • +3

Whoever posted this is criminal. This is Ozbargain, we're all penny pinches here.

    • Well there are a few that have high yield investments. Lol.

      • I'm sure there's more than a few……………………if the numbers are revealed I reckon people will be surprised!

  • -2

$3k for a forced bundle is a good deal… Yeah no just wait a few months

  • I'll buy if it was cut by another 1k for the bundle!

i wish i have bought bitcoins 15 years ago

    • I Wish I stuck with mining them back in 2009

      • +1

I wish I bought the pizza that some dude offered 10,000 bitcoin for.

        • I wish I didn't throw away my hard drive ….

  • -2

Telstra currently have a promotion similar but it is $2499 without the buds. Neither are a good deal but the telstra deal is better than this. Negging for that reason

    • +4

Different deals - that's a Samsung Galaxy Watch5 in the Telstra deal, not a Watch5 Pro.

      • -4

Ah yes didn't pick up on that, thanks. Works out about the same then considering difference between Watch5 and Watch5 Pro in RRP is $300

        • +1

          But still negging?

          • @scuderiarmani: Telstra deal works out to be slightly better based on RRP, so yep

            • +2

@nicholasv: But it's irrelevant. It's not the same products.

              • -2

@scuderiarmani: Fine, buy the Fold4 from Telstra for $2499 and receive a free Watch5 44mm from Samsung. Assuming that they don't let you upgrade the Watch5 to a Watch5 Pro, then you can also buy a Watch5 Pro from Telstra for $849 and receive free Buds2.

Total spend is $3348 and you'll have the exact same thing plus an extra Watch5 (with added bonus of choosing whatever colours you want for each device). Sell the Watch5 for $449 ($100 below RRP) and you'll still be netting a $48 saving.

Neg stands, both deals suck but the telstra deal sucks a little bit less

                • @nicholasv: Telstra is bundling Buds Live with the Watch5 Pro, not the Buds 2 Pro though.

  • -1

Buy the Watch5 Pro for 849 AUD + get free buds from Telstra:
    https://checkout.telstra.com.au/consumer/accessories/watches…

    • I like free stuff especially when they cost just $849!

  • Only if Amazon give that $600 trade in credit…

Or may be ask if JB will match this deal……

  • +5

    Wait for few months

  • It's ok Samsung will give you back the rotating bezel next year with a 590mh battery. All a scam to get you to keep updating.

  • You'd have to be the keenest bean tp drop 3k on these items. People woild have to start calling you Sammy Samsung every where you went

    • Would cost more for an Apple user for a similar bundle with inferior tech - there's no phone with a second screen or a pro watch model.

      • +1

Anyone who spent $3k on a phone watch and earphones would be known as Admiral Applebaum for the rest of his days
