👍 Welcome to the Lego aisle.

to some, a tesla is just an expensive battery operated toy.

      it's all subjective.

      • +2

I'm almost certain no-one of any sound mind thinks of a Telsa as a 'battery operated toy'.

        • +6

Maybe not a toy, but certainly a lot of people consider cars their hobby like others consider Lego.

          • @blackfalcon53: i frequent a few forums, it's almost common that people referred "things" about their hobbies as toys. same with cars.

most adults refer to their hobby things as "toys" as in "got a new toy today! (shows a photo of a $10k zoom lens )"

so i find it really funny that people are getting salty (looking at those neg votes) about others referring to their own things as expensive toys.

i would definitely put up a RC antenne on my tesla with an appropriate rego plate. maybe a couple of custom stickers that says "1000 x AA batteries" . just because i can.

not saying i'm buying a tesla though, that's a different statement.

To kids a Telsa is the 'Whisper Death', they never heard it coming.

          • @zCrimson: you saw that video on reddit did you? :P

on the bright side, the AI didn't reverse and go over again a few times to make sure they finish the job… like that other video in a certain country.

          • @zCrimson: I think that's been disproven; I read that the testers never had the autopilot engaged!
Just saying the kids may in fact be safer than you think. More reading probably required to know for sure.

No, you are absolutely correct, its a battery operated whitegood.

          • +1

@Shiq1: wrong mate, my whitegoods still works after 20 years.

        • that sounds like somone not of sound mind would try to claim…

good job on missing the point by a freedom mile tho

The expensive part isn’t the Lego itself. It’s buying the bigger house to put it in. This thing is huge lol.

    • Cashup up OzBargainers need something to spend their quarter million a year income on.

This makes buying ships in Star Citizen seem like a responsible use of money.

    • what do you mean, investing in high yield investment is good responsible use of money :P

  • Reminds me that high school kid with an obsession about spiders in that Civil War movie that came up with a plan to bring down that giant man in a robot suit, with an idea from a really old movie.

Trigger pulled, now I have the three Lego that I wanted, Star Destroyer, Millennium Falcon and finally the AT-AT, now time for getting one of the kids to move out….

    • +1

Yup, clear out the kids. I think the next Star Wars UCS set is due late Nov.

    • this.

pulled the trigger to complete these 3 UCS. the boxes by themselves are so worth it. have not really opened any yet though.

no kids yet, but im prett sure, 1 of the rooms will NOT be for the kids.
      =)
