  • is it a good year welt? it looks like it but not mentioned anywhere so not sure if the stitches are cosmetic only

Not sure about this particular style but my daughter swears by Ariat Boots for both riding and stable work. They are super comfy, supportive and wear well. She gets a new pair every year but she wears them 10 hours a day at least 300 days of the year.

      • thanks for the info. i have heard the same story from a lot of places, as well as them being more durable than lucchese and other, more expensive brands, according to some, but some people hate ariat and swear by other brands. at $200 it can't hurt to try

the reason i ask about good year welt is that i am wondering if i would be able to get them resoled, or if i would have to buy a new pair when the sole wears out.

        • Can't help with that sorry. As my daughter wears them for work, not for fashion, the complete boot is due for renewal after 12 months.

          • @Muzeeb: work boots can be resoled too, but yeah if you wear leather boots 300 days out of the year it won't last, need to give it time to dry between wearing otherwise the leather rots (if she buys 2 pairs and alternates each day they will probably last longer, saving money in the long run)

@[Deactivated]: I'll pass on that advice as they do get wet to some degree most days particularly over winter walking through wet grass.

She has seperate boots for special occasions riding and they've lasted years.

              Cheers.

    But I don't wanna be a cowboy!

  • I am 100% going to get the men's pair for that price, I would equate them to RM Williams in terms of quality, they might not last like my previous RM's for 12+ years, but they will come pretty close to it.

Tried Wild Rhinos and that was a big regret, should have stuck with what I know.

  • Any idea how this EE compares to RM Williams H?
