FWIW naturehike clone the expensive tents and produce them at a much lower price. I have the Cloud 3 and its a nice light weight tent for the price. It was $209 at prime day.

    • What is it a copy of?

    • Actually the price is the same as this sorry. $167 - i didnt see on my receipt when i bought it they put the discount down the bottom.

You need to look at all the colours as they have different price points based on the quality of the waterproofing / weight

Also they have an ebay store and others resell their gear. Always worth a look when the usual 20% ebay plus is available.

Not sure I'd call it a clone, but they have copied the BA and substituted some expensive components with cheaper ones.

  • Does anyone have the big chair, YL06, and can comment?

(I can't stand the smaller ones - gotta sit in a fetal position and I'd rather squat - but this large one looks like it's actually comfy.)

They aren't the most comfy, they are quite skinny in the area where your bum goes, and your own body weight sort sort of adds tension so that the chair sort of curves all around you, but they definitely serve the purpose they were designed for….very lightweight, strong, and quick to set up. They DO feel like a quality product. The chair legs will sink into soft ground, easily. They aren't as comfy as a normal camping chair. Beats sitting on the ground. If size and/or weight is not something you need to minimize then I would buy something else. Great for hikers.

By the way, I think these might be exactly the same…. And I think they are two for $100 delivered.

Thanks. Not sure now whether it beats sitting on the ground after a hike. I'd happily lug a kg, maybe even 2, if it meant a good seat at the end of the day.

I have the Cycling Tent and with a couple of modifications it's been awesome. Used it backyard camping each weekend for a couple of years. I originally got it (in the dark green version) for free camping stealth/camping in Japan but had to cancel the trip because of Spicy Cough etc.

    • cheers was thinking of grabbing it for a NZ trip actually, I have the cloudup 2 but could use something a little lighter/stealthier

  • I'm looking to buy a 2 person tent mainly for backpack hiking. Which one would you recommend? Happy to pay that extra bit more for the lighter variant. So much option just wondering which is there 'flagship' tent

    • There are a heaps of YouTube reviews of the Cloud Up 2 series. A lot of solo campers buy the 2, so for two people the 3 might be a better option. I was keen on getting the Cloud Up series but prefer the larger side entrance and vestibule on the Cycling Tent (Solo tent)
