Ok, well I've ordered $200 worth of PS5 game preorders.
Even if they renege on the deal, the preorder prices were actually quite reasonable.
What did you end up buying?
Given how insane this offer is I doubt you will earn DX points on the on the purchase but it wouldn’t hurt to make an account in-case, DX points can be redeemed for future gift cards as well if it works.
You could also try to use the promo code I have posted in the past MANIYACMAN to see if it will get you an extra 10% off (unsure if discount stacks with the gift card offer).
I tried to use my DX point, applied the code successfully then after I checked out, the system automatically removed my code and charged me the full amount instead. Not happy.

Before I posted the 10% off code MANIYACMAN (which does not expire btw) I asked the mods for guidance on the rules, they informed me as long as I make myself as “associated” that posting deals in relation to the code is permissible.
It can create a bit of an issue as is it gives the impression I have more information than the rest of you but unfortunately I don’t. All I can offer is my experience with them having great customer service and that I have purchased a lot off these guys without issue.
@yacman: When do they give out points for preorder? I ordered before signing up but once signed up I can see the order in my account but no points.
@tajid: I got an email saying I received points almost immediately after placing an order, for what it's worth.
I also used a discount code, but not the one above.
@tajid: Sorry was busy with work today, from experience you will receive the points and an email you have earned points basically immediately after your order which still occurred on pre-orders I have made.
Since you didn’t have an account it makes sense you didn’t get the points email, maybe check the account you created to see if you have been allocated the points (I assume you signed up with the same email you made the purchase under). There’s a rewards symbol in the bottom right corner you can click on.
Otherwise it kinda makes sense that you didn’t get points because you didn’t have an account to associate the points to.
Would be best to reach out to their support email, they should be able to clear things up for you and determine if you have earned any points.
Advise for new purchases though, sign up before you order to ensure you earn rewards points on your purchase!

They did a BOGOF deal last year and honoured that without issue.

I don't get why the pricing for nier is so cheap when the game is highly reviewed. SE could always start at normal price and reduce a few months later.

Yeah that's what I'm assuming too. I initially only added those two games to my cart as well and then figured I'd get Callisto as well to make it just past the $200 mark

I had a browse around. I decided to "sort by price" thinking the most expensive would be around $200, but whoa $1000 is the top price didn't know such a market existed.
Audio folks, mechanical keyboards and now this?! I guess there are tonnes of expensive hobbies around.
Not gonna lie though some of those figures look really detailed and professionally painted. They look almost exactly like the actors who play them.
A lot of them are sold out though guess I am late to the party. Alien one is cool, comes with facehugger and chestburster and more, that would have been nice to get $100 off on.
Appreciate your open view to the hobby, I only started collecting 1/6 scale in the past year and the price is a big jump up from say your Banpresto Dragon Ball Figures (although DXC stock some of those too).
In starting my collection I took an ozBargainer approach and found some real bargains, so I posted some prices I saw to be deals knowing the rates 1/6 collectables go for.
Unfortunately some of my posts where met with negative comments about how overpriced these “toys” are but in the market of collectables the deals I found were cheap or at least cheap based on the current market rate.
I would liken the 1/6 collectable market to shoe collecting, being able to secure stock and pay retail is often considered the bargain in itself, manufacturing is limited run, once it has finished manufacturing the price fluctuates based on demand, if the demeaned is high the price goes up and in most cases it will be worth more than retail.
Sorry for the rant, my point was I appreciate you being open to the concept of collectables being expensive even if its not something you would personally spend your money on and you can appreciate that others may find a passion in displaying these figures.
It's only recently I realized many of these slightly more niche things quickly rise in popularity.
Forgot one more thing that I didn't include which seems to be quite "big" on ozbargain and expensive: LEGOs.
Weird that LEGOs are popular here, but your posts were met with negativity? Although I am not sure exactly when you posted, maybe LEGOs only recently became popular as well. A lot of parallel's between figures and LEGOs though with one being they can both be very expensive, I think a lot of LEGOs can rise in value from retail as well. Don't quote me on this this is just what I have read.
We all have some presumptions about things we have never tried. I have the attitude that playing with LEGOs is like playing with a T-rex toy, reminds me of being a kid. And I admit while browsing through the DX website, once I got to the $30 range I kind of thought yeah this is bargain bin stuff. But those are just my presumptions.

If your ant to really be blown away look up inart, they recently started to make 1/6 after mostly making 1/4 and their version of the Heath Ledger Joker is incredible (but its another step up again in cost).
Still, it was probably just the vocal minority previously but appreciate you didn’t feel the need to put down the deal as you recognised it had value to others even if it didn’t have value to yourself.

Well I think LEGO is definitely niche amongst adults. But maybe I have been talking to the wrong people, and that's actually how the LEGO business model works. Get them hooked when their young, then sell them the $800 LEGO set's when they grow up lol.
I can understand a particular "collectors appeal" when it comes to figures. Almost like displaying Vintage items or collectibles with high craftsmanship. I can understand that. LEGOs however for me whichever way you look at it once it's assembled it looks like it's made for 5 years old and up with it's blocky simple aesthetic (sorry LEGO fans).
An ultra high detail Heath Ledger Joker figure would be pretty cool, especially if you are a big fan of The Dark Knight. I am a fan of Christopher Nolan by the way, I don't like many super hero movies but The Dark Knight was pretty good.
