$600 Gift Card or $0 Google Pixel 6a 128GB with Telstra $69 100GB Per Month 24-M Plan, Port-in Only, in-Store/Callback @JB Hi-Fi

130

Was in store today buying some stuff and asked them about their deals, this seems quite decent to me.

Ozbarginers let me know if its worth it?

100GB data consists of 60GB data & 40GB bonus data.

Comes down to $44 a month for 24 months.

Not sure if you can ge that $10 credit (or how to do it either).

I cant seem to upload the photo I took….

    No more 12 months :)

yeah, shame its 24months… too long… maybe 18 months is better… just long enough but not too long

money dont jiggle jiggle, it "floats"

Yeah, considering several times a year you can get $500 GC on a 12mth $69/m (+$10 port in credit via Telstra Chat), $600 for 24 is awfully low. You’d almost be better off getting a plan directly from Telstra for that price

Their cheapest plan is $58/PM with capped speeds, CPI increases every July & 40GB. Personally I wouldn't.

      • JB would be doing the same regardless of what they're telling you or advertising. Read the CSI carefully, because at the end of the day Telstra will be sending the bills and are well within the bounds of the contract you'll sign to raise prices willy nilly. They're the service provider at the end of the day, not JB Hi Fi.

        • you cant change a contract $$

      • Yeah but if you have bad coverage you wouldn’t be locked into Telstra for the next 2 years. I’m in that situation right now but on a 12months plan.

I feel like the 12 months have been curbed by JB. Been a while now since it last popped up.

    • How do you go about the $10 port in credit? Is it after signing up with JB Hifi? I tried a few months ago and they told me I need to discuss that with JB hifi.

      • Yeah Jb will tel you they can’t (even though it’s just a check box) so just go onto Telstra chat, ask politely and they’ll sort you out

Another offer I noticed is $0 Upfront on google pixel 6A, RRP at $750.. that's even better if you can sell for $700ish

Is this a good phone compared to a s22?

    • +1

      Nope

  • And is this for port in only?

  • Went Telstra > Optus just over a month ago for Qantas FF deal. Is that long enough to port back in with this deal?

    • More than 30 days is ok

    • I think the Optus QFF deal locks you in for 12 months so check the early termination cost before you move

      • I believe it was 3 months when I joined. Happy to change numbers and pay it out till I get my QFF and port main number back to Telstra

        • You can check using My Optus app, go to ‘My Plan’, it has plan term and cost to cancel

  • not a good deal

  • Their trade in deal was much better for the Pixel 6a seeing as you could essentially get the phone for less than $200 if you traded in something of value. I wouldn't recommend the phone to anyone upgrading from a Pixel 4/5/6 as it just makes too many compromises for a mid range Android phone. Dont expect this thing to outperform a flagship iPhone or Galaxy in terms of sheer horsepower, but its still got an amazing camera, great battery life and for some people stock android is still worth a lot more than flashy gimmicks. If you think youre getting some bargain powerhouse, you're going to be really disappointed, but for anyone wanting to stick to a Pixel, not spend over $1K and not take a chance with all the issues which plagued the 6/6Pro.

    • or wait a month or 2 for the Pixel 7 range and put it on Aldi mobile because who really needs 100gb per month with no rollover like the Aldi does.

      • Thats essentially what im waiting on. The 6a was to replace my mothers Pixel 2xl, she still doesn't want to give up that metal body and Panda design. The 7 is still months away, and if anything it'll be more costly than the 6/6P series and doesnt seem to be bringing much in terms of upgrades for the screen, processor and camera. Lets just hope the Pixel watch wont turn out to be as huge a disappointment as most leaks are making it out to be.

  • Am I able to port my telstra number to a different carrier then come right in and have them port it back to telstra?

  • 6a or s21FE ?

  • The total data is actually 300GB. The promo is on the $69 plan (was $99).

The $600 gift card however is actually the $69 plan for 100GB

  • +1

    No deal. 24 mths.

  • Good Guys is running a $700 eGift Card and 40GB bonus data still same price/length though ($69 / 24 months)

    • Did they have any 12 month offers?
