  • Quick youtube review makes the fan somehow louder than the stock wraiths? Wonder what itd be like throwing an SP120 on it? My work PC is awful to sit near

    • You may need to adjust the fan speed in your bios. A 120mm fan can spin much more slowly compared to the 96mm fan in the Wraith while still cooling the same amount.

      • Yeah I have, still horrid hahah

Found another review where this performs the same if not slightly worse than a prism

  • In practice I found the AR12 to be noticeably quieter than the Wraith Stealth overall. Although max noise levels might be comparable to the Wraith under synthetic stress tests (or analogous workloads), the improved cooling capacity vs the Wraith means it won't ramp up to that point of becoming a nuisance nearly as often as the Wraith seems to during normal use.

Full disclosure, mine is the AR12-TUF version which isn't identical but is very similar in spec, so I'd expect the above observations would still apply to the one in this post.

  • Great find. Especially good for me as it explicitly has LGA1366 support, which is quite rare on newer coolers.
