Climbing Cubby House for Toddler - Recommendations

Hello all
Had the issue that most outdoor children climbing seems to be the same 2-3 brands
The Cubby house with Swing with 2 star review on Bunnings, is on Kogan, Bigw and other sites.

Anyone found a diamond in the rough with this?

Best I could find is this: https://www.barbequesgalore.com.au/p/nerf-command-base-battl…
But would need to add my own slide to keep my little one happy..

  • $1.5k!? I reckon you’re probably better off buying some climbing holds and DIYing it yourself onto a cheaper cubby house.

    • Costco do have a few different ones and sometimes they do have some discounts.

      • I'm tempted by the metal dome for my cats; but I need something smaller. They love to climb on my clothes airers.

There are 1 million people selling these cubby houses (various quality) on Marketplace. Sometimes for free, because they're so hard to get rid of

I wanted to buy one for my daughter but my wife doesn't want to get spiders and bugs in it, so i suppose we'll just keep going to the park haha

These cubby towers just seem so wasteful, they get like 5 years of use then just go into landfill. If I wanted one of these I'd be getting it secondhand or wouldn't pursue it. Much more cheaper and sustainable.

  • In Brisbane there is a company called 'Peppertown' which has a great reputation - anything like that in SA?

  • Get a second hand one for free off gumtree, then all you're paying for is possibly hiring a trailer, and the effort of pulling it apart and building it again

    • And cleaning it.

      • At least it is less likely to have lead paint nowdays.

      • True but all together it has got to be better than spending $1000+. Even if you pay someone to do all the work

Yeah maybe, but would it still feel like a Nerf battlefield to a small child? You can pay someone to do the work, but can you pay them to make it feel like a battlefield for those little kids.

  • Lifespan Kids have some great ones at lots of different budgets depending on if you want a basic climbing frame or full gym https://www.lifespankids.com.au/
