  Might seem like a silly question

  I'm getting first NBN connection done hopefully in a few days.
  My CCTV system NVR doesn't have wifi capabilities, only ethernet type.
  There's no ethernet connection near where the NVR is.

  Am I right in understanding, that this will give me an ethernet internet connection when I plug this into a wall socket??

  So plug one into the wall socket near the router,
  The other in a wall socket near the NVR and this will give me internet connect to my non wifi NVR?

      Yes, single story, 3 bedroom unit.
      Power points in one fusebox RCD switch and lights on another fuse box RCD switch.
      Oven, and two air con units all on each seperate RCD.

      Mentioned, below, the skowr ones are much cheaper.

      Please help a non IT guy, blue collar worker, to understand more !!
      What do you suggest???

    You probably don't need Gigabit pass through for that. The slower ones are a lot cheaper.

  Okay some feedback.
  This WILL block the 2nd plug on typical aussie outlets. BAD.
  Sadly… I'm going to have to return it for something more compact. It's LARGE.

    if it matters.. the unit allows to plug your other cable on top of this unit.
