I think it is more like "15% on selected items (generally any items that accepts Afterpay and has been price jacked between 10%-20%). I really hope I am wrong and ebay will offer something exciting…

Last afterpay sale had some sweet GPU deals. Fingers crossed it’s decent again

      • Can confirm. Picked up an Aorus Elite 3060ti for $700 during those april deals.

For reference, 3060ti RRP is $688 IIRC.

Might be even better deals this time round

        • Can also confirm, I grabbed a gigabyte OC gaming 3070ti for 930 in the same sale.

          • +1

@NedStark102: We'd all have been better off with a mere 6600xt or 6700xt for what they've been selling for lately.

  • Just bought lenovo laptop for the 20% off - havent been advised its shipped yet…only bought late Sunday night.
Maybe I should of waited :P

  • They will jack up the price at that time :(

    • Might be an early window very early thursday morning before e-tailers realise the afterpay sale is on and put up their prices.

  • +4

Based on previous experience, we can use gift card + afterpay to settle the payment. Time to stock up more 8% Cashback on Celebration Swap Gift Cards

    • My afterpay spending limit is $800. So if I want to buy something cost $1000, I can still apply the code and pay $800 with afterpay and $50 with ebay gift card?

      • +4

nah, pay 840 with gift card to max the discount and 10 on afterpay

        • That makes sense! Thank you!

    • Can anyone please confirm this works before I buy a bunch of gift cards? :)

      • +1

Yes, it works. Tried yesterday. Make sure your Afterpay payment MUST BE greater than $1.

        • I'm trying to buy something for $126.65 and using a $125 voucher and it's not letting me apply the after pay coupon…

"We can't apply this voucher. The order amount is already covered by another voucher."

          • @boretentsu: you have to apply the afterpay voucher first, $126.65*0.85=$107.6525, then you need a $106 gift card voucher is enough.
Or that $126.65 is already discounted?

            • @bird380: $126 is the discounted price. The original price was ~$150

          • @boretentsu: Experienced the same thing. Saw the same message when I had ~$1.25 left after using the code and multiple GCs.

        • Position could have changed since yesterday but now I have a voucher I can't use, pretty annoyed.

  • Tried using afterpay before to take advantage of these deals and they always decline my purchases. It's not like I don't have enough in my bank account to pay for the item in full either. It seems completely random whether Afterpay will accept your purchase or not.

    • +1

If it makes you feel any better, a family member whom I referred this morning (they have never used Afterpay before) had their first purchase declined without any reason.
Also, they did not even get a chance to complete their ID check due to an error on the form, and their account was still marked as "ID Verified" when they tried again. Go figure!

      • Did they end up getting it accepted? Or did they lose out on getting the discount and have to pay through a different method?

        • Did they end up getting it accepted?

I have asked them to try again as I don't get my $30 off my next $50+ purchase until they successfully complete theirs.

    • +1

Also, there is no way to contact them via phone any more.

They are following the Belong model for customer support. Raise a request, and they may get back to you if they feel like it.

    • With the level of losses mounting for them, how long will they be around for. Subsidising sales like this can't help their bottom line.

If anyone sees a decently priced Dream Machine/Pro, pls post. I assume they will all be marked up to makr down, but still

generally any items that accepts Afterpay

Is this true, or do eBay select the items? I have some random pre-owned items in my watchlist and can pay with afterpay.

    • Well there goes my OzB license if that is the case, $80 L taken by using the 5% off code instead of waiting 4 more days.

The Afterpay day of 2021 was pretty underwhelming so I forgot how it worked, but iirc in the last 10% sitewide sale in Christmas, you could apply the coupon on all sellers who were at least Above Standard, even used items.

      • I doubt it. Looks like I can pay for anything with afterpay, even items in Japan with USD. Guessing it'll be a chosen list of stores.

I can assure you, he doesn't.

  • Headphones good for car sim? Can anyone recommend a good headset if not

    • You'll have to give me a few more details on what you're doing with the headset. Is this to be used on consoles or pc? Does it need a mic? Are you after usb or the analogue connections.

      • Playing AssettkC on PC. Whichever has the best outcome regarding usb or analogue

        • +3

Recommending headphones is always tricky. I'm super picky when it comes to audio so I've gone through quite a few. Currently though I've been using the Sennheiser GAME ONE, not to be confused with the lesser quality GAME ZERO. I've had this for a good 5 years I'd say. Use it witht he PC. The mic is excellent on it. The comfort is really good. I can wear it for hours without any discomfort. And the sound is excellent.

Dont rush out and buy one just yet. Try and do google search comparisons between ones you've used in the past. Like just for example, Logitech G45 vs sennheiser game one. You;'ll get plenty of really good feedback on sound specifics to compare with your own likes. I had a quick look and noticed scorptec has it for a stupidly low price at the moment.

          https://www.scorptec.com.au/product/headphones/wired/88511-1…

If you're after a more pro audiophile headphones, thats a whole different story altogether, and definitely harder to make recommendations.

    • What’s your budget? And do you want closed back or open back?

  • We are buying a house and after lots of new furniture/appliances, please be good

  • is this a one time use code?

“3. Conditions This offer entitles you to 15% off the pre-coupon purchase price (excluding postage costs) on Eligible Items
during the Offer Period, when you spend $50 or more (excluding postage costs) in one transaction, up to a maximum discount of $150 per transaction.
Multiple items may be purchased in 2 transactions total (up to a maximum of 10 items per transaction).
Afterpay is only available for transactions not exceeding $2000.“

It looks like you can use it twice.

    Ozbargain's favourite marketplace

Really? Jack's favorite maybe, but I doubt that you could say the same about the rest of ozbargain's users.

    • Favourite marketplace should be Amazon lol

  • Can anyone recommend wireless headphones for gaming? They'll stay at home. I'm currently using drop p38x and think they are of decent sound quality. Would only want to sidestep or upgrade in audio.

    PreJack AfterPay

Surprising. An afterpay deal without any couch accountants bitching about credit scores?

  • Tried $30 off $50 code from : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/698989 and doesn't seem to apply. Must count this as an afterpay promotion vs an eBay one.

    • I'm the poster of that post you linked. What do you mean by doesn't seem to apply?

You need to add afterpay referral code on your afterpay account, not on Ebay.
When paying with afterpay, $30 will be deducted from your total if you have the referral active.

      • The $30 off $50 code is given as the referral reward. Didn't apply on checkout, even though it's in my afterpay. Must mean this is sponsored by Afterpay and they don't stack.

  • Does it start at midnight?

  • I don’t know if I should wait for the 20%-22% discount on ebay. I don’t even know when they would have that type of discount again

    • +1

I've bought a few very cheap things with that discount in the past few days

      • sweet. Did you happen to buy some camera stuffs?

        • No sorry

How do I search today to see which items are eligible? I can then add them to my watch list.

  • 128gb s22+ shows 1409.99 after some (targeted?) Coupon code which I didn't know I had?
I presume -150 for AP deal
Is $1259.99 a good price for the s22+?

  • Has anyone had luck getting good deals on laptops around the 1.5k mark with these eBay deals in the past? Both mac and windows

  • I remember during last year's AFTERPAY sale around June / July, you were able to pay the entire amount using GCs. I assume eBay has closed off that loophole now?

    • Yes, already not working in this year’s March Afterpay sale

  • fallen far from the 20-25% with max discount of $1000 :(

    beggars can't be choose

  • why ebay has the worst search functionality to date.

    • -1

Agreed. I searched mac and searched Apple mac, and it still didn't come up with the laptops. The sale seems pretty janky overall. Cheaper than Officeworks but not by much.

  • When exactly is this deal starting? I just checked and no discount right now

    • 10:00 am.

  • I'm gonna take a guess. Prices have been jacked up then discounted to make people THINK they are saving through this afterpay day sale.

  • -1

    Any good deal on printer?

  • When does it become active? Like what exact time?

    • +1

      It's usually 10am

  • It's active.
Anywhere to get a switch for under $400?

  • nah not every afterpay thing

  • It worked for me on some kinda obscure item I had sitting in my watch list.

  • Does the code still work if you pay with mostly gift card, and then Afterpay for the remaining $1 or whatever?

    • +1

Yes, it works, just tried. The remaining for Afterpay MUST BE greater than $1

      • I've tried this and $1.60 remaining was not enough. I don't know what the threshold is but this did not work for me. In hindsight I did have bought multiple smaller gift cards.

  • +1

I can see Boost Mobile Sim under Afterpay deal page but cannot apply the code as Afterpay is not accepted. If anyone knows about this.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/e/coupon-offers/15-off-afterpay-top-…

    • An Ebay stuff up I think.
I am after a long life Boost SIM but AfterPay is not available as option on any whether "Sale' participants or not.

  • WTH I want to buy something from the Good Guys, it's in stock for Click and Collect at my local store if I'm using CC but if I switch to Afterpay it changes to shipped option and shows no stock in store.

EDIT: Somehow got it to work after a few tries.
