HM I dunno, id feel bad enough giving Gerry money one time let alone twice

    • +1

To be fair, I doubt Gerry is Nanking any money on this one. As long as that’s all you buy, and you only spend $20 when you use the voucher.

      • To be fair, I doubt Gerry is Nanking any money on this one

        chotto matte..

        • +8

          NANI!?

      • +1

$20 when you use the voucher

too bad almost everything is 20-50% more expensive than it should be

        • they price match, then pay with gift card ….e.g USB drive or other small item you need, get it at same time you pick-up the mouse to minimise petrol used into 1 trip.

      • +1

Gerry is just as horrible as what happened in Nanking? You're absolutely right.

        • Maybe not quite that bad. But bad all the same.

  • +8

Great mouse. Not giving Gerry my $$ though. Will wait for the officeworks pricematch

    • Wouldn't they match this?

    • +2

gerry harvey is also into agriculture ….. hydroponic tomatoes, cucumbers (qukes), and even beef …. so check what you eat if you dont want gerry to profit …..

  • +9

Haven't been in a HN or bought from his site since the 10% import tax.

    • +2

tax is at Amazon, Ebay Aliexpress, and a few BIG easy targets to make tax collection easier, I still get lots of stuff from other overseas sellers no tax if under $1000, and Ebay postage from USA is crazy expensive now that they have freight agent.

Amazon is funny pricing ….. go over $1000 from overseas and they add some extra ????\

Your position is that he created a problem that wasn't there in the first place and now we're expected to tank the collateral, and give him a pass by coming up with our own solutions

Not for me. That's like letting him kick me square in the nuts, then taking out my handkerchief to wipe his shoe clean.

  • +3

    Amazon price matched :)

    Amazon

    • +1

      ty mr bezoz!!!!! :)

    • +2

no $20 gift card so amazon is $48, HN works out $28 if the card is of value to you …..

      • Making the mouse 28$ which would be a good price.

Just bought another mx vertical for home, already had the G502 but more work means vertical is good to have at work and home. The G402 looks good.

  • I am on my second G502 since their release and love the mouse but was thinking of having this as a secondary, maybe retire my current G502 to a work mouse. I have read its much lighter than the G502 and similar size and shape, anyone done this and had a good experience for games etc?

    • +1

My partner has the g502 and I have this g402. I prefer the g402. It is much lighter, but do note that there's no weights in this mouse.

      • Thanks for the reply, yeah I don't add any extra to the G502 anyway but it is like double the weight of this so… I might give it a whirl.

        • After using both, my biggest gripe with the 402 is the scroll wheel. The 502 allows you to change between the free wheel and the click type, but the 402 can't do that. Ergonomically they're quite similar though.

          • @goose25: Yeah thats fair enough, I have honestly never used the free scrolling function except very briefly for bunnyhopping in Counter-Strike or for a laugh with a game that has click-to-shoot gun to make them machine guns when bound to scroll up/down haha.

    • +1

The scroll wheel on my G502 died (a common problem) so I picked up one of these G402s a couple of years ago. It's pretty similar, but lighter as others have said (no weights). I've had one issue with the G402 where the left mouse button stopped working. "Blow into it" was the advice I googled from many people having the same problem. Sure enough, this worked, but then the same left mouse button became too sensitive, thinking I've clicked twice when I've only clicked once. It's starting to settle down now. I've got it on a Logitech G240 gaming mouse pad, which is nice, although the mouse pad is starting to curl up at the edges so if I was shopping again I might go for the G440 hard mouse pad.

      • Yeah thats why I replaced my first G502 (the original Proteus Core with blue accents) as the scroll wheel click stopped which I used frequently, otherwise would've kept on with it. Generally I think Logitech have quite low quality left and right click switches too, I know of several friends who get double clicks or as the click being held down when they start getting a few years old.

      • +1

bruh. i love u man. my scroll button was dead for ages. i blew into it and shes back baybayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

        • +1

Tech experts: years of training, complex advice
Consumers: magic breath, blow into it

      • I have a G500s that is nearly a decade old now. Braiding on the cable has worn so much it split and exposed the regular plastic cable underneath which has also worn in points exposing the wires. This mouse would have thousands upon thousands of hours on it I reckon.

Such a good feeling mouse for gaming that I haven't been able to bring myself to replace it.

  • +3

    Special feature: Alcohol-Free

    Good to know

  • Was thinking of getting my son the Logitech League of legends edition or the ProX edition mouse from Amazon US.

I don’t do pc gaming so any recommendations on either model would be well received, thanks.

    • +1

Honestly I think I'd prefer to choose a mouse. Maybe tell him let's go shopping for a mouse, take him to a store with a few options and see which he prefers.

They just vary so much between them, he might know exactly what he wants already, so getting him that even if it's not 'a surprise' will still be better than getting a different mouse, imo.

  • Thanks bought 1. Paid with an old gift card that had a few $$ left.

  • +5

Supporting and buying from HN is the antithesis of OzB.
Gerry has raised the price of overseas purchases and refused to pay back everything that he took from taxpayers.
Giving him more $ is giving him more resources to rip off Australia

    • overseas under $1000 is till tax free if you don't use ebay, ali or amazon …… and ebay is useless for stuff from USA with their shipping partner now ….. amazon drop the VAT and charge GST …..lots of sellers dont drop VAT unless setup for overseas buyers ………… life moves on ……..
gerry grows hydroponic tomatoes, so stop eating truss tomatoes, don't give your kids qukes, and don't eat mined meat incase some comes from his farm ….. he is HUGE in agriculture, and some parts of his store are franchised, he just rents the real-estate out for some parts of his shops …..

  • Such a good mouse, If you like some weight get the G502, have been using both for home and work, 4yrs and counting.

    • I have both on two separate computers and the G402 feels terrible to me when I go back to it. One bad thing about the G502 is the weak magnetic flap underneath. Mine has vanished but I can still use the mouse fine.

  • +1

can you use the gift card to reduce the price?

    • +3

buy one, use gift card to buy 2nd one …… return one with an unsed gift card now you have 1 mouse cheap and no gift card ….. depends how much your dignity is worth and if the staff might have kids as the same school as yours and you will bump into them again,

      • too many steps, ill give you the $20 to not assume i go to school. i was simply asking if it could be done on the first time. skip this one yall, if you are in the market for a mouse spend 21 dollars more and get the razer v3 on special at binglee for 69 dollars, everywhere else its 109

    • Well the gift card doesnt belong to you till you complete the transaction of purchasing this mouse. Secondly, see the T&Cs.

    • +1

Not directly. Trust me I've tried twice. But as @garage sale said, you can forgo your dignity and use the gift card on a second mouse and return the other one. Probably give it a day or two and then just give them the generic excuse of "idk it doesn't work like it supposed to as it feels too flimsy yada yada".

      • That'll teach gerry to steal tax payers money

  • Out of stock in NSW? And I think the $20 gift card won’t be given for online purchases?

    • clearly stated on the online buy page. i assume they will.

  • Bought one. Been 7 years since the last time I used a mouse. Feels great in hand. Computer mouse has come a long way.

  • lol I got this mouse for 40 bucks back in like 2016, wonder why it's still the same price

also why wouldn't you get a viper mini which is lighter and has a better sensor

    • Is it smaller physically? That the issue with most entry level provided mice in the workplace.

    • Unlike computer components, peripherals don’t necessarily have performance differences that people can feel and whether people like it or not largely based on preference.. probably why the price doesn’t fall.

  • Great mouse! Perfect size for my hands… still using my first one.
