      Why not offering always reasonable prices than giving always discounts for jacked up prices? Well it’s just a marketing strategy. People love to believe they got a big discount or bargain.

        My guess - The people buying RRP based on good reviews are brining profits. People buying on discount cover the costs and keep the stock moving.

        However reasonable, people always want discounts. So it's better to have reference price and promotional price.

        Also, during promotion they can roast large batches of particular blends, potentially bringing the cost down.

        They're coffee beans which get roasted on a specific date, so sales that coincide with roast dates make sense.

        Also the quality and sale price is better than most other offerings, so I don't really understand why it's such an issue.

        $50 isn't unusual, or that unreasonable for 1kg of decent beans. Sure they've put the prices up but that's to be expected in the current environment. 40% discount is awesome, I always stock up.

      I just switched half my intake to decaf and am loving it. Same amount of coffees, less jitters. Got a separate grinder to get fresh whole decaf beans and dose control and I can barely tell the difference in flavour.

      Been hanging out for an Airjo decaf deal…

      Hey there juph0rry - we would recommend to aim for a 1:2 ratio on a double shot for a 25ish second extraction.

I just ordered Pablo’s and Rusty’s as a work subscription and got 50% off for the first 2 deliveries and free delivered. I paid only $18.10 for 1kg Porter Street free delivered. It’s far better than any Airjo coffee blend and very reasonably priced when on special, otherwise I highly recommend Sicilia coffee, they always have good prices.         learned this recently, been using pre ground with pressurised basket for half a year. finally pulled the triggered on an entry grinder (breville SGP)​ to use with non pressurised basket and instantly became enlightened.

    Thanks! Just ordered 1kg, had Enterprise last time but think I prefer this blend.

    Just a quick question, when you say 25ish sec extract do you mean start the timer once the shot starts pouring or when you click the shot button? On Barista Express if that changes anything.

    Any discount on the Brazil or SA blends at all Dan I missed the last discount unfortunately I've had enterprise and thunderchild they are my favourite.

    I've not tried Sumatra yet but usually find indo beans quite harsh / burnt tasting from many other distributors

      We haven’t had any feedback on this one tasting harsh or burnt. Hopefully some of your fellow OzB team can share their feedback for you. This is a lighter roast that the Enterprise and Thunderchild however just so you know.

      I'm halfway through a packet of Sumatra now, and TBH I think I also preferred Enterprise and Thuderchild more.

      I'm wondering what's a good blend similar to Enterprise, but with a stronger caffeine level.

        No worries Dan, I still like it better than previous beans I was using so I am just gonna get another 500g bag since my current bag is almost running out. I am just getting acquire to coffee and I think I prefer coffee that doesn't taste fruity (I am not sure if that's referred as 'acidic'), what beans do you recommend for me to try next? Would Enterprise be less fruity?

          I always recommend Enterprise if you haven’t tried it. It’s a little darker than the Sumatra so it may be what you are looking for. Either that or the Stargazer.

            @AIRJO CoffeeRoasters: I have Phillips LatteGo 4300 automatic machine, not sure how much adjustments I can make but would welcome any tips if you have any. For an automatic machine, it still tastes much better than instant or Nespresso capsule machine I used to have and surprisingly can tell the huge difference when using different beans. I will just order Enterprise with the current order! Thank you.
