New email + Sim/Phone Number, Which Offers Do You Typically Subscribe to?

Evening all,

Curious / keen to hear of those money saving experts out there with new numbers. I heard it is common practice that some people get $2 sims each month to capitalise on savings. I applaud the ozbargain spirit…

Other than the typical - uber, deliveroo, binge, stan, didi :)

Not a duplicate post, to my knowledge.

  • i got the boost offering that worked out to about 17 dollars a month (around $220 on sale upfront) for a year. came with around 300 gbs of data, which i found i needed as i tried the $15 a month aldi plan and ran out of data (mostly from using GPS)

it depends on what you need, there are cheaper options out there, but not all of them have as much data or the same perks that you might want.

another concern is speed, i thought the wholesale network (aldi mobile etc) would be comparable (i came from telstra) but it's noticeably slower, if you are used to higher speeds, you'll want to keep that in mind. cheap is good but sometimes the loss in QoL isn't worth it, especially if you are only saving a couple dollars each month.

edit: like this deal lol https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/720606

OP is asking what deals you can get by creating new phone numbers. For example, new user deals for things like uber, deliveroo, binge, stan, didi.

Binge offers through Telstra? I don't know if prepaid qualifies, but House of Dragon is starting so it's a good time for it.

None because I have a spam number that's for businesses

    • This is my reasoning… a cheap year-round sim, tired of the spam calls :) Will see if it’s successful.

The Birthday Deals page is a good place to start.
