    Cutting in before the comments: yes it costs more, but just do it. Upgrade once and upgrade well.

    Edit: actually scrap that, it's only $19 more. There's no excuse now. Same price at Umart if you prefer not to give your money to Bezos.

      third this.. https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B078211KBB $109, my money already goes to bezos (we got Prime), so may as well take advantage of the free same day shipping. Sadly we live in the era where fuel cost to get to umart (even if you live only a postcode away) could still outweigh any savings :(

        Yeah that is true. There's only 1 in stock left from Amazon and while there's a third party seller (93% positive) for the same price with more stock it's always good to have options :)

    I've had 3 mx500s of various sizes and 3 bx500s as well

    Just get the mx500

    It's easily easily worth it

  Has anyone ever put a BX or MX (or any other SATA SSD) into a synology NAS before? The noise from my existing HDDs is not fun and I am looking for ways around it. Proper NAS SSDs are a bit too expensive to justify but 4x$90 is do-able

  It's maybe all time low for Amazon, but has been cheaper before ($73).
  Yes there was $11 shipping cost if you only bought one though, but $84 is still less than $90

  Get the MX500 or a different brand.
  BX500 is not worth the headache.
