Cheapest Prepaid Data Sim (Once off Use)

Hello all

Got stuffed around by superloop with them decommissioning my fixed wireless tower with no notice
so got a around a week of no internet (waiting on NBN NTD to be shipped)

Looking at running a 4G sim to keep some basic access on network

Whats the cheapest way of getting 100+gb of prepaid data?

Amaysim has 115GB for $25 or 80GB for $12 (not sure if i can get away with buying a few sims and swapping as the runout?)
any other suggestions?

Other option was to add a telstra data sim to our mobile account which would give around 400GB usable of data share but that means dealing with telstra and cancelling etc

thanks!

  • Kogan have some pretty cheap monthly options, and usually decent new customer offers. Also offer eSim so can get up and running instantly.

Edit: just checked current offers and amaysim may be the best for you. You should be able to get a couple of SIMs and just activate as needed, unless those prices/gbs are for new customers where you'll need to register them to different people.

    • yea kogan looks better for ongoing but not for this use case

Unfortunately i need a real sim for the modem i need to use but can grab a few amaysims form officeworks

  • Belong data Sim

  • I use Felix runs on Vodafone for $35 a month with unlimited data. Speed capped at 20MB. I can stream everything with no issues. I use under 200GB a month. Wait till they do one of these deals again where it's half price for the first 3 months:

At the moment they are offering 1 month for free

    • Seems like a decent option

Ended up getting amaysim 80gb for $12, gone through one about to go onto second (got my nbn modem yesterday but typical issues with that too that needs tech to visit)

      • By switching to Felix it halved my internet bill. I'm a low level data user. So it's perfect
