    This isn't a bargain

To be fair to OP, Binge was free for 12months and people pay for Prime, but both end up getting to watch the movie…

      • Prime has a 30 day free trial so yeah

  • Is the movie worth watching?

    • +6

IMO, no. It's not a bad movie but it's nothing like the Uncharted games and takes a few too many liberties with physics.

      • +1

Just watched it on Prime. Didn't realise it's a kids movie until it got started. Left it on as wallpaper while I did something else. And as you said, the physics are rubbish.

        • +2

Physics, plot and most of all casting. I have no idea why they didn’t do something more along the lines of the fan made short with Nathan Fillion …was far better.

    • Terrible

    • Literally just watched it tonight, some random pick as background noise. Given it's immediately identifiable as a teen movie, and keeping that in mind, it ended up being good and well worth watching.

Wondered why this non bargain appeared, but I guess the filters only work when they actually put the tags in the post…….

    • +1

The non bargain filter also doesn't work on highlighted deals.

  • OzBargainers actually use Binge? Some actually pay for it?

    • +2

      HBO content

      • +2

I’de personally prefer to sail the seas than contribute anything to Foxtel. I was happy enough paying HBO for their content directly until started cracking down on international use.

    • +1

Still no bargain and should be in a forum then unless binge had a discount

    • Cartoon Network and HBO is what I use it for

    • No, Prime.

  • +9

This movie is hot trash. Save yourselves the time.

    • Tom Holland as Nathan Drake seems like such an odd choice.

      • It's all about how good is your agent in Hollywood

  • +9

    HD here vs 4k amazon

  • +3

Movie is perfectly average background filler. Not too offensive if you pay attention either.

Ok… so a game with iconic scenery scores a movie with non. What could possibly go wrong? And casting! 0.o Stick to the game!

    Binge sucks shit, no 4k/4khdr

Looking at the price of Netflix 4K plans. I'd say no thanks, I don't want 4k and have to pay double the monthly fee for them to upgrade their capability to show 4k.

      • This makes 0 sense

        Netflix has a $10 tier that doesn't have 4k.
You don't have to pay for the 4k tier if you don't want it.

just because you don't want it, doesn't mean having the options for others who do is bad.

This is a terrible film adaptation of an excellent game franchise. Everything from the storyline to the character development to - dare I say it - the believability is handled better by Naughty Dog than whoever cobbled this cash grab of a film together. If you haven't played the games and the movie looks interesting to you, just get your hands on the games instead.

Terrible movie in sub-par quality added to sub-par streaming service. Woo.

    • Nailed it

  • i enjoyed the movie.. better then most and not a waste of time like other stuff that's come out lately

Uncharted game - A game like a movie -> awesome!
    Uncharted movie - A movie like a game -> meh~

  • Oh, that was truly terrible. So terrible it can only be funny. Magellan's ancient ships hurriedly lifted by choppers, intact, then pirate boardings while they're in the air! Swinging around on ancient ropes that in reality would have long crumbled away. This film defied all the logic of time and decay. It looked like a pathetic re hack of Dan Brown's Da Vinci code. Not to mention the 18 impoverished sailors (who didn't trust one another) who centuries earlier manufactured these amazing engineering feats in their church of the day to hide the clues, and had these intricate gold and jewel encrusted keys made - truly remarkable.
