Looking for a Stove Top Moka Coffee Pot for Induction

Anyone have any suggestions?

Bialetti is an obvious choice but are there any other good ones?

To much of a smart arse to offer anything constructive?

Bialetti :) There's one open box Amazon one for $35 https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08556XV39 (usually the packaging is damaged rather than the item itself, can always return if it's the item that's busted)

  • Harris Scarfe sell a Electric Espresso Maker
    https://www.harrisscarfe.com.au/electrical/kitchen-applianceā€¦

    • That will burn if you put on induction :)

      • On the other hand, this thread is in the 'Electrical & Electronics" section =P .

  • I've used the Avanti Inox Stovetop maker daily for a couple of years now on our induction hob. Hasn't missed a beat. Combine with a quality hand grinder and you're looking at superb coffee, with very little cost or maintenance.

Have a look on Ebay, loads of listings for them but the legit Avanti branded ones are very good build quality.

  • I'm using the Cook's Collective 3 cups, purchased from Myer when there was a promotion last year. Using it almost everyday, doesn't have any problem so far.

  • How many nominal cups do you want? Some of the options are only available in larger sizes, but brewing 4+ shots of espresso equivalent in one go may displease your heart…

For one person I do recommend a two-cup, unless you want to set some aside for later (iced coffee in the afternoon?). Each 'cup' is only 30ml, but if you want a taller drink it's a bit safer to top up with water rather than cranking up your caffeine intake (I mean, filling an average mug would involve drinking eight coffees).

The catch is that the smaller sizes are smaller, and induction cooktops often have a minimum width for the cooking vessel.
