    Chatted with ebay rep regarding postage, this is the reply, either way still a good deal, thanks OP! —— I have checked the details thoroughly in the internal tools and can see that you have been charged for postage at checkout. Please allow me to share that as per eBay plus policy, "Free delivery benefits on eBay Plus items – free upgrade to express delivery on items sent to a metro address, and free standard delivery to other areas." so here if you check , this item is not an eBay plus item and that is the reason, you did not get free delivery option.

          I was told by eBay chat person that the seller made it free postage at 13:14, so someone is telling porkies. They also said that this converted it into an eBay Plus item at that time, but that it was not an eBay Plus item prior to that so they won't waive the postage.

          When I pointed out that I had to have eBay Plus to purchase the item the eBay rep went off to talk to their team, came back to say they're escalating it and will respond via email.

          My shipping cost was refunded by Big W yesterday. They copy pasted the thing about shipping being charged on large items, to which I had replied with a screenshot of the eBay page showing free shipping. I figured they'd just keep pushing their line but they refunded (and apologised for misleading, which is something).

      Got a reply email, looks like they won't refund shipping. Still a good deal though.

        The response I received said that the product doesn't have free shipping because of it's length. I followed up by pointing out that the listing has free shipping, so that doesn't make sense.

              @streetsmart: can confirm it's not worth your time. the cs on live chat doesn't seem to have any clue. i was told that bigw is one of the excluded sellers for plus. i told the cs that bigw is ebay plus seller and has the plus badge. cs said my case will be forwarded and escalated etc etc

        im currently using a Dyson Bigball for more than 4 year, still good conditions, i got 5 bed carpet, wondering up to 30min is enough? normally children do the vacuum though, they are complaining current one is too heavy for them.

      I have done some research that this one does come with HEPA by the blue/purple end cap, non HEPA in grey end cap.

        There are apparently 3 different filters?

        The grey cap with no filtration
        the blue/purple cap called "Whole machine filtration"
        the blue/purple cap called "HEPA filter"

        @$@ Dyson are the worst when it comes to clarity! Would need an expert to weigh in to clarify if the Whole machine filtration is the same as the HEPA

    By the way the V7 advanced seems to have the motorbar head where as this one has the direct drive head. Anybody able to comment on the difference in day to day use? Even a quick google of the motorbar head doesn't yield any results which is really strange, I was hoping that the motorbar head might be a purchasable attachment

    I am having a hard time deciding whether at this price the V7 at $249 is a better option than the V10 at $649.

    I use a robot vacuum and only need the Dyson for vacuuming the gaps it missed and some areas it has trouble reaching and then as a monthly deep clean for whatever the vacuum missed.

    Most of the rooms are carpet.
    Sounds like V10 is better performing on carpets, longer battery life and much easier to empty. But do you think I will notice the difference with the type of use I have? I was thinking V7 maybe fine for my intended use? Or will the really V10 save me time and effort making it worth the significantly higher price?

    Keen to hear others thoughts, thank you in advance!!

      IDK, maybe a spare aftermarket battery pack would do the magic if running time bugs you. the one from Amazon is 4000mAh would simply last longer than the original one.

      v7 would do pretty much exactly what the v10 does in real world scenarios!

      If you look at all the reviews and demos, ask yourself, who the flying f has a giant pile of rubbish dumped on the floor like the tests???

      Get a few spare batteries if you are worrled about the 30 mins usage :)

    It appears the v7 origin doesn’t come with the crevice tool.
