What was the phone grade did they match with the coles price with excellent grade ?

Yeah sounds like he did, cause appariently the best price guratantee is different for Ebay Australia, where the "new" requirement is added so refurbished products dont count. Sounds the the support guy Hawkeye talked to mustve gotten confused with the two different rules, really lucky.
Daughter called Waratah NSW, one in stock, no Rapid collect. Got cancelled as out of stock before first available collection time 4 hours later. Wife ordered from different store. I called and it was set aside. Success.
When does this deal end ?
Friend got one of these today. Only colour they had was (Product) Red. It is in really great condition. I can't even see any cosmetic blemishes. Battery wise it is at 94% battery health which suggests only about 6 months of use (I can't imagine this phone is so old that it has had the battery replaced). Surprisingly it also included an Apple charger and braided (non-Apple) charging cable.
The Apple charger I got was actually a fake one imitating design of real one. No Apple logo.

Bloody Coles cancelled 4 minutes before I was due to pick up the phone.
They only do the rounds to fulfill orders close to collection time. I called the store after ordering and they put the phone aside early for me. So, don’t blame the store as it is the dangers of click and collect especially when chasing points and unavailable stock causes you to go under the minimum spend limit.
So. Android user here looking for cheap iPhone for partner who wants iOS.

It looks to me SE2 better but thought I'd better ask community as I have NFI in Apple products
if you can stretch the budget to $350 you'll always be better off with a newer phone.

Managed to get one after a bit of drama, a local Coles had one in stock after I rang them but said it was $599, I explained they are $299 online.
I placed the online order, it was cancelled.
So rang Coles support who rang the store and got them to honor the $299 price for me :). Battery is 94% happy with that.
Worst online shopping experience ever. Numerous cancellations. No satisfaction whatsoever after discussions with on- line and customer care staff. The Coles on-line purchasing system is flawed for items such as this phone and I will never attempt to use it again, no matter how good the deal is!

You can easily get one if you ring the store first to confirm availability. Most stores don't have them so your experience is pretty normal.
Yes the coles online system is crap, but it is what it is. If you want the deal you have to do the legwork.

People clearly don’t read the comments. Ring the store and ask if in stock. Ask if they will put a phone aside and you do c&c order. Worked for us after our daughter called, was told in stock BUT didn’t ask to set one aside. Obviously you might get a staff member who is not helpful but that should be rare.

Battery health 85% which apparently isn't great but I'm ok with that.
