Where Do You Buy Business Shirts from?

I used to buy from TM Lewin as I found their quality was good for the price but they have gone bankrupt and closed down in Australia. Where does everyone on OzBargain get their shirts from now? Preferably somewhere with a physical store I can try them on in. 100% cotton too.

Costco - Either their brand or CK

Agreed. The Costco brand shirts are excellent, and are easy care - put them through on a very slow or no spin wash and hang them on hangers while wet and you won't have to iron them. Some of mine are 6 years old now, although I haven't worn them much in the last two years.

Just be sure to measure yourself before you go in as there are no change rooms obviously, and they come in different neck and different sleeve sizes. I have one which fits perfectly except the sleeves don't quite reach my wrists; I have to wear it with the sleeves rolled up.

      • You can take them back if they dont fit

    • Decided to buy a few CK shirts from Myer during their "Super Weekend" 40% off deal. They cost about $55 each and feel/fit pretty good but the fabric is noticeably thinner and less robust than the TM Lewins I have.

Ah yes the old $395 AUD shirt compared to 3 for $99.

  • Rhodes & Beckett

    Charles Tyrwhitt

    • I've been a big CT buyer in recent years, although not so much recently due to corona, etc.

Challenge is prices are up from what I used to pay and range seems more restricted. Have you purchased in the last year or so?

Not recently, I think gone are the days where they offer 3 shirts for $99 delivered.

Quality and range still seems ok to me, though prices are up.

  • good question! anyone have any tips on shirts with 82cm sleeves? they are like unicorns seemingly! and from what have seen only VH at some stores yet not all and not all styles and even then only sometimes. FIL is 41/42 neck yet 82 in sleeve not a 'standard' combo

    • +1

Maybe just buy him some short sleeve shirts, might be long enough?? :-)

Seriously though, Charles Tyrwhitt do 41 or 42 / 84cm which is pretty close. They do have 81cm shirts as well, but only down to a 39.

Alternately it says they do custom sleeve lengths for an extra $17.95, but only seems to offer 81 or 83.

      • LOL 🤣 I did suggest something similar before along lines of '…sorry I think the unicorn chain of shirt stores closed down' or if he he tried XL kids shirts 😂

Beaut that sounds like a goer as pretty darn close. 17.95 to stop the whinging is $ well spent 😜 cheers muchly 👌

Vinnies, bought some good quality shirts from there for a fraction of the price of a new shirt, still looks good and better for the environment (recycling/reusing).
Trick is to try and visit the ones in the more affluent suburbs,

  • Hi everyone
I have been looking around at Big W, Target, Kmart etc for Business shirts. Once there was quite a range but very few to be seen now. Has anyone any idea why this is the case?
    cheers Peter

UNIQLO for me, for pretty much all clothes

  • Oxford. I love the quality, styles, fit and price.

  • Anyone here tried MJ Bale's Sumarai/Atheltic fit? i love the fit, but pretty pricey. Was wondering if anyone can suggest similar alternatives?

  • Oxford Shop outlet stores are ok. Shirts are around $35 each but the selection can be limited it you're a medium or large.

Just ordered some shirts from CT (after many years) … not sure if it's just me but the shirt quality feels noticeably poorer/thinner. Contemplating returning them.

    • How did you order them? I tried to use the discount code via a Facebook add but at checkout the conversion came out to be 300+ for 4 shirts
