iHerb are celebrating 26 years of being in business with 26% off supplements and herbs purchased during the month of September.

Enter promo code 26SUPP at checkout.

Apparently this deal is only valid over the weekend (as stated below by iherb1) though their email referencing the deal was vague as to what dates the code would be valid.

Decent savings to be had for those items perhaps you cant find elsewhere, especially when buying larger quantities.

New customers can get 26% off with code 26NEW during the month of September

    • No discount for Ashwagandha it would appear?

    • Probiotics: "Not Eligible"

      • I don't know how it's legal to not provide the actual full exclusion list, but iherb are a repeat offender.

The discount really is hit and miss. 2 supps from the same brand one works one doesn't 🤦‍♂️

One is beta alanine and the other is citrulline

  • The new user is 22% off correct?

    • +1

I’m seeing this while browsing the website:
“Get 26% off your first order! Use promo code: 26NEW at checkout “ Maybe 26% as per their Bday celebrations

  • “One-time use. Exclusions apply. Can't be combined with other offers. Offer ends 9/5/22 at 10:00 AM PT.“
    Weekend only…

    • Does that mean splitting a larger order to get the free shipping (over the top limit amount) won't be possible while getting the full discount for everything?

      • Don't tell anyone, but I just made another account for this exact purpose, seemed to work fine

      • i always split my orders, never had an issue getting the same discount for different orders.

        • So you think the "one time use only" doesn't apply to split orders? Can anyone confirm it worked this time around?

  • +1

Thanks OP need to buy more.

  • I just spent $90 2 weeks ago, damn this code would have been useful.

    • +5

Don't despair. Previously iHerb always jacked their prices before offering a discount. I haven't checked this time.

      • +3

Can confirm, the prices were jacked up roughly 5 to 10 percent a couple of weeks ago.

        • +1

Spent $300 2 weeks ago. Definately prices jacked up by ~10% or so

        • My fish oil went from $24 to $42!!

      • First I've heard of this. I usually check the price I paid on previous orders when there's a sale and it's never been more than $1 higher on a $30 item, which I assumed was due to inflation.

        • +2

You checked your previous purchase prices from a sale which means you are already seeing the jacked prices, based on what others have said. You should be checking what prices were BEFORE a sale and then the sale price to know if it's jacked for a sale which is what others are saying.

          • @nfusion: I had a closer look and iHerb has done a dodgy. They used to show pre-discount price in your order history, now they've changed it to post-discount price and they don't even show the original price. And yes they did jack the shit out of this sale. Scumbags.

I have a long order history with them and now that I've taken a proper look, I see jacking but only in recent orders, and it's more than the 5-10% another commenter mentioned. The full 26% "discount" is eliminated by the jacking. In fact, even after the "discount", most items are more expensive than they were pre-jacking. This is the last time I'll be buying a (profanity) thing from iHerb.

I hope you at least used the Long Running VALUE60?

      And/or Cashback

I just spent $150 with them a week ago. Doh! :-)

Time to stock up and take advantage of this saving. Thank you OP.

  • +1

    thanks OP been meaning to

  • +1

Need an increased cashback from cashrewards or shopback, the Aussie dollar has been weak for sometime.

  • +1

Damn just purchased over $100 then it remembered it has CR, but then saw the coupon is not listed on the CR website? Is this right?

    Also - thanks OP!

    • true but my cb is tracked atm so we'll see if it gets approved or rejected

  • +1

    thanks OP,

Good example Marco Greens is $40 cheaper through other websites.

It's never free shipping, or cashback.

They're adding 25% over most retailers.

    • yeah - looking at the supplements I take and comparing, I would agree.
Inositol on Amazon for about $37 (454gms) is $52.90 for a comparable on iHerb.

  • -1

You don't sell any Bioglan or Blackmores brand?
What are the best quality brands you sell for supplements/vitamins?

  • $120 for 5lbs ON Whey… I used to love and use iHerb a lot years ago but I think it's just been different :(

    • Ikr Aminoz sells 10lbs for 208.95 (after price scan)

can possibly do price beat with the after discount?

      • +1

$170 something on Amazon S&S. But I've been just trying to eat more meat/egg/milk and less protein powder as it's too expansive haha :)

    • If you like the 'Double Rich Chocolate' flavour looks like they forgot to hike the price its 126 down to 93 with free shipping. The other flavours in 5lbs are all 179.16, coming down to ~130 which is still above the normal amazon/aminoZ pricing.

      • 93 actually is not bad~

  • Code not listed on Cashrewards, 3.5% only anyway

    • +2

Seems, that CashRewards is not celebrating 26's anniversary of iHerb.

  • What are you guys even buying… I had a look at their creatine and it's mostly excluded and cheaper at like bulk nutrients. I normally buy melatonin but shipping sorts makes it a bit dear.
And I buy ON protein from Amazon for much cheaper.

    • +1

Often stuff I can't get from elsewhere, or can't get cheaper elsewhere.

    • +2

Legitimate Melotonin - not at Circadin prices. Fish oils, Magnesium and Vit D are the main things, I try new supplements to see if they have any benefits for me from time to time as well.

  • +2

    What am I missing here?

"with 26% off supplements and herbs purchased during the month of September."

"this deal is only valid over the weekend so don't miss out on this impressive saving!"

    So which is it?

  • +2

Any recommendations for good value psyllium husk? Benefiber doesn't seem to be doing the trick and would prefer to avoid Metamucil bc of the artificial flavours.

    • +4

Hi Jesho, try the Macro Psyllium Husk Certified Organic from Woolworths. Comes in a 250 gram pack it’s great and $6 a pack…. I mix in shakes or just water…

      • +1

        Thank you, will try.

  • +2

If you are struggling with long covid I suggest you try Nattokinase. I've gone from 18h/day in bed to a mere 10h and noticeably better executive function.

It is by no means a magic bullet but in the absence of any definitive answers as to the aetiology or treatment of long covid it's good to feel like you're doing something at least. You're also less likely to do yourself harm with a supplement than you might with bootleg vetinary medicine.

That said, please don't do so without at least consulting your doctor as nattokinase has anticoagulation properties and may not be suitable for some.

All these vitamin brands are low quality junk

    Swisse Ultiboost Vitamin D (https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/705800/swi… , half price 14.5 AUD, 250 Pack, 1,000 IU , contains soy) vs https://au.iherb.com/pr/california-gold-nutrition-vitamin-d3… (no soy , 40 % off, AU$13.73 360 Fish Gelatin Softgels, 5,000 IU ) vs NOW Foods, Vitamin D-3, 125 mcg (5,000 IU), 240 Softgels AU$14.75 no soy , (https://au.iherb.com/pr/now-foods-vitamin-d-3-125-mcg-5-000-…).. thoughts ?

    • Consider getting eagle brand vitamin d spray or bioceuticals vitamin d + K2 spray.
Check on the Mr vitamins website.

      1,000 << 5,000

1,000 is ridiculously low (just 25 mcg!). Vitamin D is notoriously difficult to accumulate (especially in winter, or while locked up at home). We should all be aiming at 60–100 nmol/L (personally, I aim towards the upper end: 100). To achieve that, one needs daily 200 IU (5 mcg) per kg of bodily weight. You may try getting that from the sun (and you should, if you can), but for that you can't be too old (as we lose our capacity to produce it), and sunbathe (in actual swimmers or not much clothing) around noon (the sun needs to be above 45° for we need UVB to produce vit D) for at least 15–20 mins (not long indeed).

Personally, I buy the California Gold one (iherb's home brand), and take 3/day. And, yeah, take K2 with it too. That's the only real 'but' with vit D; without K2 it accumulates in the cardiovascular system the calcium it brings from the gut into the bloodstream.

      • Which k2 would you recommend?

        • +1

MK-7. There's a whole debate amongst researchers around which form—MK-2, MK-4 or MK-7—is most bioavailable to us based on blood serum levels, which indicate higher concentrations of MK-7 after some time of ingestion. MK-7 proponents say that's evidence that other forms are excreted sooner, MK-4 proponents say that's evidence that MK-7 is poorly absorbed (I'm not aware of any studies on tissue concentration). The general opinion seems to favour MK-7, but some brands have just decided to shove all forms into their pill just in case (and also bc some forms, e.g. MK-4, are cheaper to source than others, thus literally diluting the cost).

Edit: This I didn't know (just learnt it here): natural MK-4 is animal derived (especially from butter and cheese from milk of grass fed cows) and best absorbed, but that in supplements is synthetic, amd derived from tobacco (most likely GMO). MK-7, OTOH, is produced by bacteria (that in natto, which you can make at home, in fact; just buy natto from the store, and transter it to other soy beans, or, preferably, chickpeas—thus avoiding glyphosate and phytoestrogens).

  • The things I have ordered in the past have gone up in price, are currently out of stock or have been discontinued :\

    Great timing!

  • When did free shipping threshold increase from $60 to $80? Just bought a couple of months ago and it used to be free shipping over $60.

    • I noticed too they changed their default shipping provider to Aramex who must be undercutting Aus Post.

I've had nothing but dramas with Aramex but not worth paying the extra $10 tax for an upgrade..

      • +1

I've had limited experience with Aramex, but the fact that on every review site they manage a lower rating than AusPost despite rebranding just a couple of years ago is frightening.

        • Yes, the reviews speak for themselves!
