100
SLEEP15

Been hunting for a new Queen mattress and the (perpetual) sales from Koala, Ecosa etc aren't so attractive at the moment… stumbled across this (possible?) gem! Seems thinner than other offerings at a total of 16cm~ but might be the ticket. "Normally" $499

Dual Layer Memory Foam Queen Size Mattress

  • This memory foam mattress can mould to the exact shape of your body, provide maximum support for your lower back while taking pressure off your shoulders and hips, and improve blood circulation.
  • It contains a supportive 4cm high density memory foam top layer that moulds and conforms to the body, and a 12cm base layer of supportive foam for resilience and comfort

Newsletter code SLEEP15 gives 15% off at checkout for $254.98

These are great but definitely on the firm side. I think they’re clearing them out.

    • Will cross my fingers it's similar to the Ecosa which was actually not bad. Customer service rep I chatted to mentioned they had discontinued the other ones they previously had and seem to be clearing this line too. Wasn't sure about future ones but seems Tontine is keen to stay in the game obviously.

Memory foam without any cooling layer (e.g. gel) on top are very hot and uncomfortable.

    • I stay away from memory foam for this reason. Do you have any recommendations for mattresses that aren’t too hot?

  • How does this compare to the IKEA VESTMARKA? I'm after something that's firm (even extra firm) in a 250$ budget.

    • No idea just yet, will add thoughts after I get it. DingoBlue above seems to think it's good

  • I would buy a single damn

    $255 delivered is pretty cheap.

Sadly for me the memory foam doesnt seem to last so well for my 115kg frame.

If you are looking for a firm mattress to support larger weight, my recommendation is the Sealy Leura from Freedom

    https://www.freedom.com.au/product/24326636

More than double the price but does offer good support for big bodies.

    • That one looks really good, but stock seems to be an issue… I couldn't get one locally until mid October :(

      • Yeah when I ordered mine they said in stock for immediate delivery - then took a month to deliver it….

    • can confirm bought this 3 months ago and definitely on the firm side which I prefer.

    • Yeah saw that, couldn't figure out how long the wait might be though :(

  • it says SLEEP15 discount code isn’t available to you right now

ah, maybe they've changed it… might need to sign up with a new email account?

        Thanks, that worked.

  • Is there any choice magazine review for this?

    • Not this model

I just got mine. It is good for the price ($250 and free delivery) but these can be improved:
    The cover is very thin.
Support is excellent in the middle but if you sit on the edge, the foam goes all the way down. I guess this would happen to all foams unless reinforced around the edge.
At full price, I would go with Ikea instead of this one.

    • How many days it took for the delivery ?

    • Is it firm or extra firm ? How do you rate it after sleeping on it ?

  • +1

I got mine Friday and have slept on it a few times now… it's definitely firm but as @navidm58 said, the cover is really thin (and non-removable). I also couldn't quickly tell which side the 4cm high density foam was on… so I may have it upside down at the moment.

I'm sleeping ok on it, don't know how comfy it would be with a partner or for anything other than sleep, lol

If I was going to order again I'd go with the Sealy Leura from Freedom that @TheCandyMan2020 mentioned

  • What are these like when compared to other mattresses in boxes like Koala or Emma?

And how would they compare to the ALDI mattress at a similar price?
