Have had this for the last couple of years and it hasn't skipped a beat.

Note if you need official replacement accessories buy them off the Roborock store on aliexpress, not Roborock Australia website as they are ripoffs

Got a link of the official store on aliexpress as i find a million links that purport to be the OG bit not sure. Thanks

      • +1

Hold on let me find when I can, I ordered from them a month or so ago and legit part and box numbers and all at like a third the price of Roboripoff Australia

      • I've used fakes from Banggood and they're working fine. I actually prefer the build.of.thr fake filters I got but not sure if I trust them as HEPA. For everything else the quality is pretty much comparable.

I bought way to many accessories though, so heads up to anyone. It's been two years and I've used like 1/10th of my $40 worth of spare parts. Just worth mentioning. I guess if they run out of stock I'm still covered fortunately

Yea I took a second look. Bought this for around $400 many years ago.

      • I've been price watching this since then, I've bought one but think my other parents could do with it. $400 is way more than I usually spend for Christmas but I know it'll be awesome once they're used to it.

    • which floor type you have ? carpet, wooden, tiles ?

  • Don't forget this is a grey import though so would have to use Kogan warranty.

  • Waiting for the Q5 or something decent without a mop.

    • Q5 ?

Roborock, it's been out in the U.S. for a few months but not here yet.
Seems pretty good from reviews so far and doesn't have a mop which I don't need.

bought the Roborock Vacuum Cleaner 2nd Gen 4 years, paid less than $550
laser belt motor died after 3 years but was just a $15 motor replacement

    • +2

How'd you get the motor replaced?

      • Following. This would be really good to know. (Please comment me in for the notification) love the idea that things are replaceable which is why I got this robot in the first place.

      • +2

        here is the replacement part

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/144512483541

        https://roborock.com.au/products/roborock-laser-distance-sen…

it might be a common issue, lots of articles online if you google 'roborock laser motor replacement', firstly to try to replace the laser driven motor if it still has issue then need to replace the expensive laser assembly

        • Awesome, I don't have a Roborock but I do have a Dreame, which are very similar as their owned by the same parent company. Something to keep in mind if mine ever fails. Thanks for the reply!

        • thanks jjj123 for confirming.

Just ordered mind from this vendor to save on shipping cost: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/164892590537

  • 2000pa max suction for $629 is quite steep.

    • +1

It's just for the reputation at this stage. The S5 max has a decent following. There's definitely other things that are starting to show better value, hopefully they'll be able to keep stocks up also.
