Mod Note: Currently unobtainable in Australia. Expected to arrive in early October Available now.

Shiny Eternatus will appear at Lv. 100 with a Timid Nature and the Pressure Ability. It’ll know the moves Dynamax Cannon, Eternabeam, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower, so it should make a powerful addition to your team.

To claim your in-game gift, follow these steps:

  1. Launch your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield
  2. Select Mystery Gift on the X menu.
  3. Select Get a Mystery Gift.
  4. Select Get with Code/Password to save your game and connect to the internet.
  5. Enter your code or password.
  6. Watch as the gift arrives in your game. (Pokémon will appear in your party or your Pokémon Boxes. Items will appear in your Bag.)
  7. Be sure to save your game.

No purchase is required to receive a code card, but the offer is only available while supplies last, so don’t delay. Head over to EB Games in Australia and New Zealand starting September 18 to claim your Shiny Eternatus!

        So how do you do it? Just walk in and ask for a code without preordering the new game?
        If you have to preorder the new game, you either pay a deposit or will need to pay for the game when it's released right?

          Just walk in asking for a code, no purchase required.

          I've done it in the past with other EB Games Events.

    Attended two stores. No stock and nobody has any idea.
    Called Eb chadstone and was told it will be available in Nov in AU.

      How annoying, the website stated “ … add Shiny Eternatus to your Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield team. From September 18 to October 1, 2022” so available to Aussie a month later????

        Previsely two month later. The guy told me it would be 18th Nov.But I doubt what the guy said was true. These guy sounds like they kbow nothing. The first store I attended sounds rediculous. They told me to bring my switch and search for the code myself.

          I went into 2 and called 2, the 2 that I called said you need to redeem the Pokémon through mystery gift, I told him the key is I need the code then he said it’s in the but that’s in the mystery gift, clearly he has no idea too

      I went to Chadstone, the guy said that the codes aren't even in Australia yet and they have no idea when they might arrive.

    Went into my local EB Games store and they did not have the codes - just said to come in each day and see if they had got them. They did not seem to be sure if they were getting them or not.

    Went into the EB store in Melbourne Central and was told there was a miscommunication from Nintendo, EB wasn’t informed of this offer at all. Incidentally GameStop in America has started offering the same code today so maybe that’s where the confusion from Nintendo came from?

    I’m very confused as I walked into my local EB on Sunday (when this was originally pegged to start) and the staff said they hadn’t arrived yet, though they know what I was talking about. Popped back in on Tuesday and they had a pile of them! Can’t have been the only store to get them?

    All stores should now have them. Codes must be redeemed by 6:59pm AEDT 1 January 2023.
