Great for Broncos supporters to have a cuppa during the finals series

  • What's the normal price?

    • $80 something. I remember eBay plus just have a sale of only $39 for a 1L version not long ago

      • Does the water taste better than that boiled in a $10 kmart kettle?

        • +4

No I prefer the plastic taste of the Kmart kettle

        • Yes, I got mine yesterday from the $39 deal. No after tastes or smells with this kettle.

Edit: I see you were probably joking about $10 kettles being the same. Yeah if you're happy with $10 kettle, stick with it.

Yeah if you're happy with $10 kettle, stick with it.

Coffee for me, and no instant coffee at that.

          • @eagerfisherman: how loud is this kettle?

            • @ollie1938: It's ok, walls are reasonably thick and the lid is well sealed, it's got a rubbery seal to prevent leaks, it's not just metal on metal lid.

I'd say better than average on loudness but not specifically designed to reduce it.

Edit: well I read some reviews and it seems this kettle isn't likely to age well, lots of complaints about it getting noisier after a bit of use, and also leaks, might be that seal doesn't last very long.

How long before the water reaches boiling point? 1min? 2mins? Owners, please chime in. 👍
