Hello

Gran Turismo 7 PS4 version is currently at $39 at Amazon, record low I believe. Cheaper than the $44.50 Target deal in my other post.
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/723785

Seems like PS4 game prices are dropping…..

If you buy this one and upgrade it to PS5 version would be cheaper than the current PS5 price.

    Amazon is price matching Mwave

  • +1

The never tried to match Target????
And Mwave would have a delivery cost.
Mwaves PS5 version price is very cheap too at $49

    • +1

Target barely even sell games anymore.

      • Well we do snap them up pretty quickly lol

  • +11

For anyone wondering, upgrade to ps5 digital would be $15.

    • But you will need the disc version of PS5, correct?

      • No, if you upgrade the ps4 version to ps5 it just needs the ps4 disc in the drive.

        • +1

Sorry, that's what I meant, you'll need to buy the PS5 with a disc drive.

  • Wait I bought this for like 69 2 or 3 weeks ago… Do Amazon refund difference?

    • No. Can ask, good luck to you, but no.

    • +6

Nope. Just buy this for $39 and create a return for the $69 order.

    • +2

YES they do refunds. I recently asked for one albeit for a ring camera, 25 days after purchasing. I was seriously impressed with the process, using chat, all it took was 4 clicks, 2 sentences and the $49 difference was refunded into my account 3 days later.

  • Hows it run on ps4 slim?

    • Loud and hot probably

    • Runs fine. Loading times are a bit long but gameplay is great.

    ps5 version can be had for $63 ($68 w/ $5 ebay coupon)

    • OP stated that the PS5 version is $49 at Mwave

Also another comment above suggests the PS5 upgrade is only $15, so total is $39 PS4 + $15 upgrade = $54

      Cheaper than $63?

      • +1

        I'd pay the $9 extra for a physical PS5 copy Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

        • I see… $49 is a better deal at mwave

        • -1

Sound like you wanna pay $63, which is more than the game+ delivery from mwave Β―_(ツ)_/Β―

Don't know where your right arm went

Does this have a single player campaign or is it mostly targeted for online?

    • It does have events for you to do similar to the older games. Also the cafe menu's which award cars and unlock tracks on completion.

    • Single player can take a decent amount of time if you aim for all golds. Plus the online time attack is soft entry to online.

    • The single player component is quite fun if you're a car enthusiast.

    • +1

I gave up on the single player - I mainly like to 'race' rather than do time trials or challenges. The campaign AI races were moreso beat a long line of cars rather than race against AI drivers.

While you can create customer races with AI, they're outside of the campaign aspect.

      Online however is quite fun.

      • Does online require a PlayStation plua subscription or similar?

I just bought this an haven turned on my PS4 pro in almost three years and have no idea what the online set up is now!

maybe watch this before buying the game - microtransaction - - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GMTYU2984Rs

    • this is old. Changes have come with the last few patches. Whilst its not perfect… there is less pushing of micro transactions.

        Is it though …

        1.20 update

        . Legend Cars
γ€€- Legend Cars (Hagerty Collection) prices have been revised based on real-life valuations from Gran Turismo partner, Hagerty.
New prices will be applied the next time a vehicle goes on sale. The next price revision is scheduled for November 2022.

        and statement from creator …
        https://www.gran-turismo.com/gb/gt7/news/00_3802725.html

"In GT7 I would like for users to enjoy lots of cars and races even without microtransactions. At the same time the pricing of cars is a relevant element that conveys their value and rarity, so I do think it’s important for it to be linked with the real world prices."

Can you sell your car though? just like in 'real-life' ?

Or do you have to keep grinding out hours or hand over real $ or get lucky on the roulette wheel?

  • For anyone looking for the digital only PS5 version it's currently regular price at $125 on the PlayStation store. SMH

    • +2

This is a good reason to never buy digital only console. Usually overpriced and un-resellable games!

  • I just purchased it 24 hours ago on Amazon for $51.45 on sale. I literally just called Amazon and they tell me the price is curently $68. When I go to check Amazon's site it's not listing a price at all. Am confused AF.

    • +1

      They sold out at $39.

      • +1

Thanks. It took a bit of back and forth with Amazon but they are refunding me the $12.45 difference.

        • +1

Yep, it sucks when you buy and the price drops the next day or so.

  • +1

PS5 version is $49 on Amazon.

  • It seems the GT7 PS4 deals are finished/oos/expired.

    Target, Mwave, Amazon.

Back up to the not so good price.

Probably many will be resold on ebay.
