Grocery List / Shopping Apps - Collaboration and Integration Required

Looking for a shopping / grocery list app to use with my partner. Must be able to collaborate with another person - bonus points if ties into Woolworths and/or Amazon online ordering systems. We both have iPhones

Notes app can be shared between iPhones. Otherwise, share your Amazon/Woolworths accounts and use the basket/cart to add items you both want.

We use Bring. Works well and you can create multiple lists and collaborate, edit quantities etc. It’s free as well.

wow… self hosted grocery asset management and operations - amazing

      • My experience with asset management is that the biggest pain is having up to date data. Looks interesting

Yeah, that looks like too much of a solution.

I can see how this could come in handy… but man, I can't see how I'd get anyone else to participate!

This is what happens when an engineer takes on the hat of product manager as well. What an over engineered solution. I love it.

      • Also does Chore and Battery tracking :)

I run it on a VPS and use tailscale for remote access :) Also use a bluetooth barcode scanner to load up my inventory (Quilton, Eneloops, mspaint.exe subscription - the usual…)

        • haha this application still under development, next will be sleep pattern monitoring lol

          • @boomramada: or sleepwalking/sleep-snacking tracking

@bdl: But will it in the future track who ate the last bullet (liquorice) or M&M and when.

With a tracking ability from input to output….

              • @RockyRaccoon: that's what the Quilton-tracking is for :P

      • Only an engineer would say that.

We just yell things at Alexa, she adds it to the shopping list, and everyone (with the Alexa app) can look at it.

  • reminders on iphone; You can share a list with your partner. The best one so far.

    • We use a shared Reminders list called 'Shopping List' on our iPhones as well and it does the job. We find it better than Notes because once you tap the 'done' circle, the item disappears.

We were able to add items via Google Home as well via IFTTT but since v2 came out, the command no longer works. 😥

      • yes this is what we do as well

Just use the Woolworths app. You can have multiple lists as well as the cart.

  • AnyList works for our use, but it's not integrated into any stores

  • We've used Grocery Gadget for about 10 years. Still works well.

  • Anylist is pretty basic and good for this. We use it and it's no frills, just works.

Google keep would work. It’s just lists and pins, but can also be accessed on PC which I like. Doesn’t allow integration, but can add in links and images.

Otherwise, have you tried the woolies app itself? Could possibly log in on two devices for the same account? No idea if this actually works, just a suggestion.

Can also yell things at the Google speakers/assistant to add to a list. Can also do this for specific lists.

Love yelling at the robots. It’s my favourite part of the day.

  • Google Keep. I can talk to my Google Home while I'm cooking, tell it to add anything to my shopping list, and a few seconds later it appears on my Google Keep shopping list on my Apple Watch. Great integration across systems.
