  • As "Equator Tree" explained, I asked the sales chat dude to requote my order for a delivery address update and then he processed a new order through the chat and its at confirmed, money came straight out.

                      I have managed to get in by selecting "Business" instead and got a Sales Assistance immediately.

                      I have followed through similar script above for checking my address and nothing was changed in the end but managed to get the order re-issued, paid immediately, and now showing as "Confirmed" with ETA 20th of September 2022

        • Got through to the chat, ask them to change the address, then a lady from Dell Sydney called through telling me can't be done as a decision is still yet to be made whether to honor this or not.

      • Chances get better as it progresses but you're not home free until it's at your doorstep

        I don't mean for any solid gaming. Just productivity. My 1030 is running my optiplex currently 1440p @144hz on a 27 LG Ultragear

        • If you mean productivity like Microsoft Office apps, why do you need 144Hz anyway? Standard 60Hz is all you need.

      GT 1030 DVI Max Resolution : 1920x1200 , HDMI Max Resolution:4096x2160 , and this Monitor 3840 x 1600 (DisplayPort: 144 Hz, HDMI: 85 Hz)

      So in my opinion for everyday office works it will work but you'll need a HDMI to Displayport cable to get 144 Hz , because through HDMI to HDMI you'll get 85 Hz.

    Just got a call from the Dell representative saying they had a system glitch this morning and they received about 360+ orders and all the orders will be cancelled even the status is shown confirmed

      • yes, this worked for me and managed to get this to "Confirmed" status. However, they only allow card payment, no Paypal option so get your card ready!

        • I went to 'chat with us online' and if you choose existing order it advises not open and directs me to my orders page…
          If you say 'new order' then choose Home > Alienware it takes you to a sales person who said they can't edit an existing order… in case that was a bad rep i tried again and the next two times it tells me there are no agents available. … did you

          • @Elijha: Click the blue Contact Us chat button below, do not choose Order Support, choose Business, then I chose Systems… after that I simply started by the IRN number that I have from the existing order and asked them to look into it then follow the same script as shared above like re-issuing order so I can pay immediately, etc

    I’ve just placed an order for some company computers and I’ve got the confirmation email within 20 minutes. I wouldn’t put my hopes high for my Alienware monitor order to go through as there is still no confirmation email.

    Just called support, seems like they are fully aware of the issue. They told me there are a lot of discussions and they would make a decision if they are going to honour it by the end of the day. Fingers crossed!

  • Of course I managed to miss the biggest deal I've seen on OzBargain since I discovered the site :) If Dell are going to honour this, then that means they'll also be honouring the other price error monitor deals on the front page and I don't see that happening.

    I'd love to be proven wrong and everyone who purchased something this morning will have their year's made and then some!

    Just got a call from Dell that the order did not go through as the payment was declined. My credit card is all good and looks like the party is over… at least for me. Good luck to the rest of you.
