@Vallah: What refund, you havnt been charged yet. It doesn't get charged until it ships.. here's hoping we get it but fully expecting a cancellation email over the weekend. Nothing lost though, the ride was worth it.

I can’t see Dell honouring some orders and not others as that just frustrates those who didn’t have their orders honoured. ie some people will complain which uses up for Dell resources to address the complaints.
Even in the event they do honour the price, I doubt there will be sufficient stock to match all the orders.
More likely everyone’s order will be canceled, we receive an apology and a voucher as goodwill gesture from Dell.
you can't see them honouring the ones they have stock for and not the ones that they don't? lol what. The chat stuff people are doing is just pushing them up the queue in terms of getting order redeemed before others.
I mean even if they do want to honour the price for all orders, there will not be enough stock to cover all orders.
Best case IMO would be allocating stock based on first in best dressed which means many orders still won’t be fulfilled. I think fulfilling the “queue jumpers” will also frustrate customers especially if you ordered early and get bumped.
I think a uniform response to all orders would be seen as fair and less likely to antagonise customers.
I feel like if they were going to simply cancel the orders they would have done that quicker than this.
Nah it's really not. As other people have mentioned, the chat is literally just filling in the Dell reps day.
All of those chats won't mean jack because of the sheer number of orders. This will be sent higher up the chain and more than likely revoked.

It’s a tough pitch that anyone needs multiple 38” curved monitors.

Got an email today saying this would be honoured by Bunnings. Not in the same league, I know, but I wanted to flex my $145 case for $25. 😅

When I mentioned the stress I was under from this OzB post she replied saying she had already treated another patient who was rambling about it. So, here's what she feels about it.
As the management team will be able to relax, process and accept the problem over the weekend, she believes that they will return to work fresh on Monday and, in an effort to avoid backlash, decide to honour the deal.

Pulling the item for sale entirely probably means they're still up in the air on this. Not wanting to allocate any stock until a final decision is made.
