Why do you have a RRP on items that are refurbished or damaged ???

RRP, at best, is for new items…

  • The RRP is a guide only, the 40% off applies to the marked price.

The reference to RRP is misleading. How can you use RRP as a guide when RRP refers to new products, not refurbished product pricing?

    • Deceptive & Misleading practice according to the ACCC…

Sellers do it to con you into thinking you are getting a better price than you actually are…

      • I'd like to see someone try and con us sharks on ozbargain. In my book this is a good deal. Although the points raised are 100% valid Id recommend buyers to just look at the bottom line and ignore all the sales spiel.

I just picked up a pure one elite for $82. JB price is $138. (thats 40% by the way) Pioneer RRP is $199

        Winning!

  • Speaking of thinking about getting a better price….

How long does Pioneer consider 1 day to be?

Deal of the day hasn't changed for awhile now.

Alternatively, there's been no price change for the LX73 refurb.

drats, i was hoping for a pure highway aerial to be available individually

    • Me too, the original went wit my old car :-)

There is no RRP for second hand & damaged goods. The stated RRP's are misleading and irrelevant.

Also it's not even 40% off.

    http://shop.pioneer.com.au/shop-online/pure-digital/pure-rad…
    RRP $399.00 NOW $288.00

If it was 40% off the fake RRP it would be $239. And it's only $11 more for brand new from JB http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/home%20theatre/digital-radio/…

    • You have to type in "pure" at checkout to get the 40% discount off $288.

    • No, if you entered the code 'pure' as per the instructions above, a further $115.20 discount is applied off $288

fair enough my bad, the rrp's are misleading regardless

You'd wonder why a reputable company such as Pioneer would bother trying to offload scratch and dent 2nds directly

    • hard times perhaps…

  • Pure Classic is 74 before discount, I bought one from Dick Smiths earlier this year and it's one of my favourite things, no buyers remorse.

  • Please note the rechargeable battery option for this is anywhere between $50 for a ebay fake that will do the job but probably wont support the charging indicator on the radio display or $80 for an original.
