Just a heads up, if you look on the Samsung website, this model seems to be listed as a "Thin & Light" notebook rather than an "Ultrabook", which might mean it doesn't meet Intel's requirements to be classified as an "ultrabook"

    • does this mean anything in real terms? (genuine question)
I have a u36sd and its not classed as an ultrabook (but it is damn thin and light with the added advantage of a full voltage processor & a decent number of ports - plus the battery life is ~7-8 hours which is far better than most ultrabooks).
Saving maybe 200 grams doesn't seem worth the sacrifice to me, but is there any other benefits with the ultrabooks? e.g. the intel classification thing?

Back to your topic I would suggest you take a look at the u36sd if you don't mind 2nd gen i7/i5!

Of course not, it's just a marketing term.
But it really helps buyers decide since there are so many different laptops out there.
Unfortunately, the term 'ultrabook' means the price is higher than it normally would be.

If you're happy with what you got then that's good enough.

        • cheers thanks for clearing that up!
