Damn. It was worth a shot, though! The 5 minutes of excitement and fun was worth the process and disappointment hahah!

          • @player2: I did the same but ordered 13 bundles, would not send 14, I assume it's based on weight

              @running on empty: Re:

'I did the same but ordered 13 bundles, would not send 14 …'

Frankly this was a pretty revealing post with regard to insight into how a seemingly large proportion of the OzB community now behaves, and a shift in OzBargain attitudes/the OzB community standards. In the 'olden days' of OzBargain, anyone who ordered more than 2 or 3 boxes would have been severely down-voted, and given a severe dressing down in the text ('Thy name is Broden', etc.).

It seems that what might have happened in this case is that a few greedy peeps—'sparked' by an early poster rejoicing in the fact that he/she'd scored 10 boxes for one shipping charge of $7—all put in early orders for 10 (or even more in some cases) boxes, and everyone else's orders after that got canceled.

Let's just hypothetically assume that did happen. In retrospect, do those who ordered 10 (or more) boxes think that perhaps a more 'community spirited' approach might have been to order just 2 boxes? And if 'shipping to WA' costs rendered that not worth it, just leaving the deal alone? Or has it now become a generally acceptable attitude to 'take absolutely the maximum that I can get, with zero regard for fellow-OzBargainers' (i.e. 'first in best dressed, and bugger everyone else')?

              • +1

@GnarlyKnuckles: Agree. I ordered 2. That was plenty. Was cancelled anyway but gouging isn't good for anyone… unless you're desperate enough to be scalping sauce boxes

                • +2

                  @Foodstamps: Yeppers … and re:

'… desperate enough to be scalping sauce boxes'

If some poor sap out there (and his/her family) is doing it so tough that they need to act as selfishly as is required to ensure the wellbeing of their family, I guess I don't really have a problem with that. These boxes are simply not the type of thing that you could ever 'scalp' for any level of meaningful profit though. Chainsaws and other tools like that possibly yes, genuine/known-brand clothing possibly yes (if you have the storage space!); but not food/sauce and a footy cap or a candle. The peeps who ordered large numbers in this deal (rather than 2 or so) were simply acting likes pigs at the trough (in my humble opinion), with no regard whatsoever for their fellow OzBargainers.

I wonder, might it be worth one of the admins creating a very generally worded survey about what the wider OzB community currently considers an acceptable level of 'deal utilisation' in situations such as this, where something substantial is being offered for free or almost free, for whatever reason. I'm envisioning very simple response options, just to get an idea of whether there has actually been a large shift in what are considered acceptable OzB standards since the 'Broden days'. Something like:

                  a. Ordering 1 or 2 is fine, but ordering more than that seems a bit greedy and would likely deprive other OzBargain users of the chance to avail themselves of the freeby/'deal'.

                  b. Ordering up to 5 is fine, but ordering more than that seems a bit greedy and would likely deprive other OzBargain users of the chance to avail themselves of the freeby/'deal'.

                  c. The OzBargain community is now 'every man/woman for themself'. It is acceptable to acquire the maximum amount you can of any product/deal brought to your attention here by a fellow OzB user.

The old-school phrase 'fair suck of the sauce bottle' springs to mind!

              • +2

@GnarlyKnuckles: Agree, I even see people who have bots set up to buy deliberate price mistakes.
When did people get so greedy and not think of, oh I wonder if someone else may want this, rather than buying the entire stock and scalping it.

  • +1

Heartbreak Survival Kit is sold out. Shame, it's the only one I wanted. Oh well.

  • I'm surprised that all of them hasn't been sold out yet with the exception of the Hearbreak Survival Kit. Guessing they have a lot of stock to clear out.

  • -2

I had for heartbreak survival kits in my bag but got greedy and decided I wanted more so by the time I checked out it was sold out :(

  • +5

They will just cancel orders, why bother?

    • -1

      Let’s see… ;)

      • -1

At least they will give something complimentary i think

    • Why would they?
The code "free" clearly indicate their intention to get rid of those left over bundle boxes.
Labor cost to unpack them and sell the sauces again, or the land fill cost is obviously higher than the wholesale price of the sauces itself

      • Because they lose on potential sales? It's better to landfill them from a business perspective

        • +2

          land fill costs a lot
By giving out them free, they also save a lot of marketing cost.
Many of these bundles will probably give out as present to a third party.

      • nice imagination there bro….!

      Wheres the saucier Muzeeb

of you ozbargainers bought the bundle from the original deal.

    • Hand over the licence

  • Somehow this makes me feel better about my dell monitor getting cancelled

You guys know the 500ml ketchup is work $2 at woolies>?

    • $1.9

    • For me, it still worth for 10 bundles with $6.96 shipping. :/

      • hilarious…enjoy your zero bundles!!!

    • +2

I mean for Vic, the shipping is $6.95
Get 10x of the Burger Lovers Bundle and you got youself 5kg of ketchup with an added extra of the 5 different sauces but 10x of each.

      So its definitely worth it.

    • +2

I just checked this prior to reading you comment and for me the 500ml shows as $4, 225ml $1.90

      • Wait for special every 2nd week, currently available at Coles this week

  • ~$11 shipping to Sydney :/

    • Worth it if you add ten rather than just the one. To QLD it comes to around $30 shipping for 10.

  • +2

$10.82 shipping to Perth for the burger lovers bundle. i mean, i like burgers, but do i love them that much…

    • Same case for QLD but 10 for $30 all up not too shabby if it actually gets honoured.

  • +1

Well, I ordered but haven't got an email yet. How much you wanna bet they won't honour the orders.

    • +1

I got the confirmation email straight away, but they probably won't honour them.

  • Anyone know expiry for when you buy these products at Coles? Are they like a year to expire?

  • Can't post to WA country address

    • Check your order again, maybe it too much!?

    • I was told my order could not be sent to selected address, I just removed a couple of items to have it accepted. I'm guessing it's weight based

      • +2

$38 when I add one pack to the cart
$38 when I add two packs to the cart
$38 when I add three packs to the cart

$58 freight when I add three packs to the cart
$58 freight when I add ten packs to the cart.

$38 for one pack, $58 for ten packs

Of course I bought ten packs of the burger lovers kit🤦🤦

        • +4

          What are you actually getting?

You may be able to get it all cheaper in store. Ketchup mayo everything they make is $2.25 somewhere right now for the 500ml sizes

          • @TEER3X: Works out to be 89c each, for 60 sauces

Actually, 53.58 for ten packs. (Wrote $58)

Homebrand Burger sauce at Cole's is $3 everyday.

  • Thanks, OP! $30 shipping but still a good bargain!
