So these folks have been around for several years now (boasting to have the world’s largest community in the walk-to-earn fitness space) and have recently ventured into the crypto space.

Prior to crypto, you can earn Sweatcoins (which is not a crypto token) for walking. With Sweatcoins, you can use it to redeem free items, free samples, free app memberships, discounted items, bid for items or donate it to support charities.

Now that they have ventured into crypto (about a week ago), you can now earn SWEAT crypto tokens for walking. With SWEAT crypto tokens, you can sell them for real money (through crypto exchanges), stake/deposit them to earn more SWEAT crypto tokens or lock them up to go into price draws or for better Sweat Economy membership rewards.

Currently, the first 5k steps you make daily will get you SWEAT crypto tokens (with the current conversion rate of 1031.45 steps to get 1 SWEAT crypto token as of posting, and this conversion rate is going to get higher over time, ie. you will need to walk more to get 1 SWEAT crypto token as time goes by). After the first 5k steps, the remaining daily steps will get you Sweatcoins.

You will need to download 2 apps:

  • the 1st app Sweatcoin (https://sweatco.in) is their original app which contains the algorithm to count the number of walking steps you have taken. This app also keeps track of the number of Sweatcoins you earn from walking.
  • the 2nd app Sweat Wallet (https://sweateconomy.com) is their new app which keeps track of the number of SWEAT crypto tokens you earn from walking.

Tip:
Don’t walk too fast, otherwise the number of steps you make won’t be counted properly (in some sense, technically walking fast isn’t walking but running or speed walking :)

          I understand in the long term, they have a goal of shaping how your personal fitness/heath will interact with the world/country’s economy. In the future, they could sell the steps data to governments, healthcare providers etc. in order to develop better public policies or heathcare premiums etc.

    I've seen videos of a dozen phones rigged up on a rudimentary timber rocker, then attached to a motor. Don't know if it was for this coin, but could be easy to game.
