Gift card is only available to new QBE CTP customers for their first year. It is not available to existing customers.
CTP Insurance is mandatory in Queensland, and is included as part of vehicle registration. Sometimes known as rego insurance, CTP covers you by providing compensation for other people seriously injured or killed in the event of an accident where you are the at fault driver.
Just did an online quote with GIO as mines up for renewal next month, $70 more expensive than my current cover with AAMI
I just use the govt comparison site each year greenslips.NSW.gov.au it gives them all in one go , Allianz was cheapest for me $418, and my GIO was $421

I tried all obvious combinations and the most I could estimate from their calculator was $25. False advertising?
Oh, right, interesting. You tried heavy/large vehicles? I thought that might have been what attracts the $50. I subsequently saw that OP had another post for $40 at Suncorp too, so might go for that anyway.

Usually $50 is for typical car rego of 12 months. 6 months for $25 from my experience :)
But then Suncorp gave $40 to me for 6 months renewal last month.

I can't find the link now but from memory it's $50 of you live in FNQ and $25 for the rest of Queensland. I swap between Suncorp and QBE each year.

It's $25 if you renew for 12 months and you're living in metro QLD. $50 for renewing 12 months and live in country QLD.
I switched last year for the same promo but they've never sent me the gift card.
YMMV It happened to me 5 years ago when I didn't receive the card. I called them, they then sent me the card.
Is QBE the only one to offer this gift card currently? I think the Suncorp one has been discontinued?
