  • 3 in stock at my local store according to stock levels link. However, clicking on product link provided by OP takes me to Bunnings website (with my local store already set) - and it states "This item is not sold at this store". Clearance item???

    • Only 1 size of Kango cobalt drill listed on Bunnings website for my local store that's selling for $1.99 - 6.8mm. The rest are selling at $5.19 to $34.94 - normal price???.

      • The new packaging without the silver edging and with gold coloured drill bits seem to be the new stock and normal price. My locals have various sizes but nowhere near a full set. Some may have better luck.

    got 20 for 39.80

    not bad, thanks OP

Try your luck physically going to the stores. I've bought some at 50cents from 1 store and $2 at another so they definitely vary.

    Limited sizes in store, 6.8, 7.5, 8.5, 9.5

    • this. saw the same at my local and no smaller sized bits

You guys need to just hit up the box full of them at the tool shop.

  • They are $1 at Vermont South, got a few 10mm masonry bits, had 3 boxes full of different sizes/types near the entry to toolshop

  • Been this price for a week or so at least. Seems like a good price to me for a "branded" Cobalt bit. Picked up a few masonry bits in my case, they had a few which have noticeably longer reach than other brands.

Been this price for almost a couple weeks now. No longer selling this range and it's spot on the shelves has been allocated to other products hence why they're being sold off cheap.

Stock counts will most likely be wildly inconsistent due to them most likely not being scanned individually when people inevitably buy multiple of these…

    • Aren’t most bits made there?

A lot are but not all. The Sutton brand that Bunnings also sell is made in Australia and France.

Plenty of stock at Bonnyrigg guys…The Bunnings guy took it down for me from the top shelve.

  • Nothing in South Australia from what I can see.

Long time fan of the range Kango bits, my experience 18 months ago though with the Kango bits made in China is not good, chipping on first use. I have a large selection of Kango bits made in Germany and not one failed bit.

Thanks op, bought a few assorted sizes. Can't go wrong at $1.99

  • Are these drill bits good to drill the fresh wood. Or is there any specific drill bits suitable for it?

  • Not all stores? Just tried at Belmont WA and all the Kango cobalt bits are scanning at their regular price

Thanks - Bought ~10 today in assorted sizes.
