    FFS bought one on Saturday for $72 ($90 - 20% code).

    If anyone has questions about this product in particular, feel free to ping.

      What are your thoughts about this? Does it reset when you plug other devices? Do you recommend it?

      • +1

        If it's like the 66w version I have, plugging in another device causes the power to briefly drop to the other connected devices.

      • +5

        Build on the actual charger feels solid and dense (heavy for size).

        Plug and associated swapping mechanism isn't premium but appears to be functional and fit for purpose; 2 prong ANZ plug (no earth)

        Haven't charged devices concurrently yet - will try tonight and report back. No issues charging my phone (pixel 6) or laptops (Dell Xps 61W ish, Macbook Pro also 60W ish) individually in light testing.

        Overall I'm happy with the purchase so far; keep in mind that most of the negative reviews for chargers like this one come from issues arising after a few months of usage whereas I'm <48hrs in.

        • +1

          Hey Mate, does this fast charge your Pixel 6?

        • +1

          A few more points:
          - Yes it does pause charging momentarily when you plug in a new device
          - Yes it does fast charge my pixel even with my laptop plugged into C1 and Pixel in C2 (it says "charging rapidly" so I assume that's a fast charge)
          - No coil whine/noise that I can tell
          - I accidentally dropped it from about 1.2m onto low plush carpet and it seems totally fine (I wouldn't expect my 61W Mac charger to survive as well)

          One interesting interaction to note:
          - I plugged in my camera into the USB port (USB to Micro USB) with Mac in C1, Pixel in C2. I'm not sure exactly what's happening but C2 decided to pulse charging continuously (pixel would rapidly flash between charging and not charging like it was trying to negotiate how much power it should be receiving); C1 was fine during this.
          - I then left my mac in C1, plugged the pixel into C3 and then plugged my camera into USB; and all of them charging fine (Pixel just says "charging" as opposed to "charging rapidly"). Oddly enough this config doesn't appear in the link above under "3 ports" so I have no idea what is happening here (maybe 65W, 7.5W and 7.5W?)

          Anyway, I would still recommend it and it seems to be fit for my purpose (leaving it under the couch for easy phone/laptop charging + travel charger with international plugs) but if you have any intense use cases YMMV.

  • is it safe? and does it make noises?

    • +1

      Will check for sound tonight

      Not sure how to quantify safe outside their own testing… It hasn't given me any concerns in the last 48 hours of light usage if that helps.

  • I wish they included like a travel plug adapter that attaches directly to this. Though I too many charges now so I probably won't buy it anyway. Probably…

  • Any coil whine?

  • heymix and zyron. which is better?

    • People know which is hotter like fire

    • You should comment in the original deal in case anyone there is subscribed to all comments and looking to buy one :)

      • Good point. Will do. Thank you.

    • Didn't use the 20% Cashrewards?

      • Thought there was some talk in the original thread about the promo code not being kosher.for tracking.Also very possible I've &_$# it up royaly

        • Yeah you can't use both as the promo is app-only but 20% CR on $127 (ex-GST) is > $10.

          • @gadgetguy: :( Yep might have blown $15.51 :(
            I'll likely punish myself by saying no to the next discretionary spend opportunity. Confident your words will help 2 others that go for it..

    They should make it Aust power point friendly. I don’t like the direction of the plug pins. It either blocks your power switch or in the case of a double row power board, eats into the space of the opposite power point.

    • This one won't block anything if you use the included extension cable.

      • +1

        You ought to include a proper pic of the extension (showing both ends) in the listing, to make this clear. Its a good selling point.

        • +2

          I'm not associated with the store. I've bought a few items from Zyron and I get promotional emails with deals every once in a while.

          This review shows the included cable.

        • @ibelievesyd for your consideration.

    • If they're 180 from ours then they are Chinese plugs. Upside down and slightly thinner prongs. May rattle in some power points or at least be loose.

      Had a plug converter like that once. It was so loose it fell out. Dangerous AF.

      • Should just use a figure 8 socket and cable and remove the issue and need for adapters.

    • +3

      Well noted. We are currently selling OEM chargers but have our own range of ODM are coming soon. They will not have such issues and made to Australian consumer requirements.

  • Great device if your laptop is okay with 65W (by okay I mean it does not discharge under heavy load), otherwise you will be limited to 1 port only delivering 100W. It does not support giving let's say 87W to the laptop while charging your headphones or a mouse with 5W.

    Its charging modes are (USB Type-C1 + USB Type-C2 + USB Type-C3 + USB Type-A):
    * 100 PD
    * 65 PD + 30 + 0 + 0
    * 65 PD + 0 + 20 + 0
    * 65 PD + 0 + 0 + 18
    * 0 + 65 PD + 0 + 18
    * 0 + 0 + 7.5 + 7.5
    * 45 PD + 30 (AirPod?) + 20 + 0
    * 45 PD + 30 (AirPod?) + 0 + 18
    * 65 PD + 0 + 7.5 + 7.5
    * 0 + 65 PD + 7.5 + 7.5
    * 45 PD + 30 (AirPod?) + 7.5 + 7.5

      I have the 120W adapter for this reason. I can charge laptop at 100W and have 20W (usb c) or 18W (usb a) for something else.

      • +1

        I bet 120W is bigger and heavier. From engineering prospective it is a little stupid to add more power instead of better distributing existing amount. Let's hope they will remake 100W with more intelligent distribution.
