    a) Without specialised glasses/detector plate you aren't going to see the measuring dot over 25m let alone 50m.

    b) As you get to longer distances, you lose accuracy (unless you pay extra).

    c) When was the last time you had to measure something over 10m? I have a number of 8m tape measures around the house (garage, kitchen drawer etc), and I can't remember the last time I had to measure anything close to that, let alone 25m.

    d) For $65 delivered, you aren't getting better than +- 2mm accuracy at 25m.

      Is useful for a niche of people who do building site inspections or similar. Dude on the "Site Inspections" TikTok uses one by another brand. And makes scary watching if you're building a house.

  If you missed out, these are better imo
  Can get 40m version for $30, much smaller and more convenient to have around, USB charging, backlit display.

    So I commented before that my cheap Lomvum measurer from AliExpress is shit. I was stupidly wrong, it's actually really good. Seems to be right on the dot at 2.5 metres, if anything it's probably a few mm off. For the home handy man, can't go wrong, especially at $25.
