    What is Tank Pronter?

    • +8

Dunno but I want one if it's on special. The OZB Way.

They use a large built-in tank of ink for each colour, instead of pre-filled ink cartridges. It makes pronting much more economical, since the ink is bought in bulk, greatly lowering the cost per page when you pront stuff.

Unfortunately they do often still use proprietary filling bottles, but I've seen a few hacks where people have turned their old bottle into a kind of funnel for filling with a cheaper ink

A pronter is what the rest of the world hears when Australians say printer. OP is catering to everyone.

    • Hahah. Thanks. Corrected

Thank op, gonna pront a new license

    • Did you get new licence number with it??? :)

  • Recently changed from Inkjet to Laser, I highly reccommend to go Laser printer, especially if only using it for office documents and such. Inkjet prints much better photos (blends the colours better) otherwise laser is better at everything else and very little maintenance (can leave it for weeks/months without using and no clogging of print head etc…)

Yes agreed with Laser for office use.

I prefer ink jets at home because I can print photos. But I also know friends who would never print any photos so laser is great.

  • Can it be filled with after market generic ink bottles or give some error which epson eco tank printer model does ..

    HP SMART TANK 7005E

Correct me if i am wrong… but the E indicates it can only be filled with genuine in as part of a subscription, making this expensive and likely e-waste?
(as in, subscription, connects to HP with number of pages printed, etc).

    • If the model number has an "E" (or "e") at the end, it means HP Instant Ink. HP Instant Ink is subscription-based.

  • Not going to pretend to be an expert here…. but i thought I read these 'big tank' inkjet printers still suck. The printer heads still need to be cleaned / replaced over time.

  • MFC without Automatic Feeder is a joke.
