The Sydney Opera House is turning 50 and they’re having free events across October and November:

Various community choir performances at The Steps 20-30 October (no tickets required)
Ngaiire and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra 10 November (tickets required - sign up to their e-newsletter for presale access which is open now. Registrations open to the public for this event on Friday 30th September 2022 9:00am)
Wanha! Journey to Arnhem 17 November (tickets required - sign up to their e-newsletter for presale access which is open now. Registrations open to the public for this event on Friday 30th September 2022 9:00am)

Maximum of 4 tickets per booking. There are also lots of paid events and acts as part of the 50 year celebrations.

It turns 50 next year, it turns 49 next month. (Opened 20 October 1973)

None of the free events let you go inside the Opera??

  There's still a year of events to go. But outdoor on the forecourt has bigger capacity; the Concert Hall only seats about 2500 by comparison

They do charge a booking fee for $8.50 per booking.

  For their free concerts? For their paid ones, that's default. I don't pay booking fees as I have Insiders membership

    Probably a glitch in the website. When I clicked on my Cart and Continued to Checkout, it didn't show any Booking Fees.
