Why doesn't your website ask to verify if you are 18 and over???

    • -1

      Who cares?

      • Liquor Licencing regulator.

        • +3

Toothless muppets who think an under 18 will click "no" when verifying. Completely pointless.

          • +2

@iMagoo: you are breaking the law if you sell alcohol without a licence. There are big penalties.

            • +3

@jv: Sure, but the people who think that a dialog box with a couple of buttons will stop sales to under 18s are a bunch of muppets who probably didn't even know what the internet was when they came up with the idea.

The buck needs to stop with the person handing over the alcohol, e.g. the delivery person.

              • @iMagoo:

regardless, licence holders are required to not sell to people under 18… That means checking up front, and checking again upon delivery.

                • +3

@jv: There's a DOB entry at checkout that's all that they technically require. Dans has the same.

Good question. I will get onto it.

Why don't you give the useless comments a rest???

      • +2

only useless if they want to risk losing their liquor licence.

    • Maybe because its Oktoberfest … legal drinking age is 16 !!! Just drive through a Maccas and ask for beer … :-) or have a beer with your teacher after school … so much more relaxed in Europe.

Problem is: In Australia you go out to get drunk … in Europe you go out to celebrate and get drunk in the process.

    But more important:
No idea what a Marzen is. Guess you have a spelling mistake in it and mean Märzen.

And it's missing one important thing: What ingredients are used? I hope nothing else than water, malt and hops. Sold in cans of 375ml is already bad enough. How can you fill up a 1L "Mass" ? You need 3 cans.

      ACKSHUALLY

I hope nothing else than water, malt and hops.

Which of the ingredients listed by OP wasn't one of those things? And even if it did, when did Australia become subject to the Reinheitsgebot?

How can you fill up a 1L "Mass" ? You need 3 cans.

Do you always answer your own tiresome questions? EDIT: be sure to send pretty much every Bavarian brewery an email to let them know they're doing it wrong by selling their Maerzen in 500ml cans. "How can you fill up a Mass? yOu nEd tWo cAnS1!?1"

      • -1

When you make a Märzen you should use the right ingredients :-). Simple!

        2x 500ml = 1l
        Des passt!

        3x 375ml = 1.125l
Da hast a Neucherl übrig Du Volldepp. (Ok … these are swear words … but this is absolutley fine in Bavarian and not an insult!)

I was hoping some of the comments related to the quality and taste of the beer or the bargain. Oh well, at least I know how to spell it and the rules if I ever want a liquor licence…
Shame about the beer though. Seems mighty expensive for my ignoramus palate

It's just these guys monthly Oz-Advertising.

    • I too would like to know about this beer if any OzBargainers out there have tried it.
I've bought and drunk quite a few of D&D's beers to date.
The only one that's missed the mark for me was the Red Rye IPA. That thing needs to be "cellar" temp (at least for me) before it starts coming good.

  • Dam earlier in the week it was 48 for the same price

    • An error from my web master that we had to correct….
