Yellows - $9
Blues - $11

These Freshwater Dwarf Shrimp are a great addition to your clean-up crew.
The Neocaridina family being one of the hardiest dwarf shrimp out there, they can survive temperatures as low as 15C up to 30C but thrive and breed readily between 21 and 26 Degrees.

Dwarf Shrimp are scavengers. They eat algae, bacteria and other microorganisms around the tank, and will never attack other live animals. They have a minimum bio-load and are a great addition to almost any tank's ecosystem!
Don't forget to check out our plants for combined postage and keeping the shrimp happy in transit!

Keeping with fish:
The general rule for all aquatic life is "if it fits in their mouth they will eat it." Unless you have specifically passive or vegetarian fish, shrimp may be eaten by any fish which is large enough to swallow one hole. Adult shrimp grow to 2cm in length, with juveniles being at least 1cm. Conversely, any smaller fish will live with them very happily. They may eat the baby shrimp if they breed, but if you have enough plant cover, usually enough survive to keep the colony going.

If you have any questions or problems feel free to ask!

  • I've been thinking of getting some ghost shrimp for my small ~2500L pond.

How many would you recommend for a 'survival' amount? There are a couple of 12" Koi and smaller and a few safe areas with papyrus / lilies. I would also be open for some good deals with some pond plants that suite ~500mm deep & full sun that would also assist in shrimp safe zones.

    • Its hard to say, i recommend 10 to start a colony but with koi you cant be sure.

If you have another tank to grow them out that would be best.

      • I do have a small 300L pond, but it has more smaller koi & in mostly shade so will get colder in the winter. I might take a gamble and grab 10 for the tiny pond and 20 for the larger. Worse case it's a spring feast for them!

        Any deal sweeteners? ;)

        • Yup, use the code AWESOME for 5% off :)

    • Release 10 in a cage. Let them breed. Once around 100. Let them loose.

      • If I don't have a spare tank with filter what's the best approach

        • Well, I can't guarantee anything: From 10 shrimp with my goldfish, one survived to old age being old enough not to be eaten, but there wasn't much place to hide.

So it really depends. If you can add a net, and corner off a part of the pond/tank that could work.

        • Google fish breeding cage

  • I'm a week away from finishing my custom animal crossing decor that's going into a Fluval Flex 57L

I'll be hunting down blues do you have any quality guarantees?

So difficult to stomach >$100 for 10 shrimp if there's no guarantee on what you'll get haha

    • Well in general yes. We dont send culls, the pictures are the quality you get.

But best ask i can send you pics if you are worried.
