Free Whopper (Whopper/Rebel/Vegan Cheese) on Your Birthday ($1 Minimum Spend via App, $0 at Cashier) @ Hungry Jack's

910

Thought of reposting this deal from past

You need to signup to a HJ account and add your details, (DOB, ph extra) there, then on birthday week you'll see it in your app, and should also get an email regarding this.

To get the whopper in app there's a minimum $1 spend requirement, (But it may be worth it to spend $1 in app especially if you are after a Vegan Whopper Cheese)

you can get either

Whopper or Rebel Whopper or Vegan Whopper Cheese with the free birthday whopper.

Sadly if you go instore you'll likely encounter team member's charging you extra IDK why instore they just do not understand it (talking about if you wanted to change your whopper to Vegan Cheese Whopper). But nevertheless if you wanted the standard whopper instore they'll do that one for free.

Otherwise they asked me $1.50 extra to change my burger to Vegan whopper (that too only gave me 1 patty and no cheese, So definitely do not order instore with barcode if you want the Vegan whopper cheese).

You can edit the burger too (like remove stuff -free or add stuff to it - costs extra). Nevertheless its a good deal But instore experience sucks for a few at least.

We gon' party like it's your birthday
We gon' sip Bacardi like it's your birthday…

  • I got a rebel whopper with this offer yesterday since my birthday is coming up.

Don't forget to try Shake & Win in the app, sometimes you'll get something free. Although you can't redeem more than one offer in the same transaction so I got the burger and a coffee in the app and got my free fries at the cashier for a total of $3.95.

Meanwhile Maccas has a free Cheeseburger or Large Fries or Small Sundae for my birthday. HJ wins!

    • large fries comes with 2 monopoly stickers if your birthday conveniently falls within the promo dates ;)

I stopped eating HJ's when they started charging for heavy pickles mayo and ketchup - most of the time they didn't even put extra on and charged 70c each item - a rip off.

  • That’s a lot of free whoppers…

How long will it take to set up 366 accounts?

    • +1

      From experience ~9 hours.

Had a similar experience with using the barcode in store to claim for a rebel whopper the other day, the girl was saying that it couldn't be done, and then when I showed her where it said 'can be substituted for a rebel whopper' she tapped the screen for a minute and then tried to charge me $9. Eventually she ended up doing something which got me the burger and I only had to pay the $2 for my large fries.

Moral of the story: if you want to substitute the burger, do it in the app if you can rather than showing the barcode when paying.

  • I got my whopper for free somehow, my birthday was earlier this month and it gave me a code to use.

    I didn't get the $1 minimum spend.

    • +2

That's because it is free… you would've selected redeem at cashier.

  • I didn't have to pay anything extra for the vegan plant based Whopper when I redeemed in store about a month ago. Maybe just bad luck OP but Happy birthday!

    • In store doesnt have min spend

  • +1

Thanks for pointing out the burger can be swapped to Rebel/Vegan! I think they changed the Rebel patty a few months back though as the last time I had it I didn't enjoy it.

  • Rebel whopper is amazing. I am not sure why Macca's abandoned the vege menu

  • There's no $1 min spend if you select redeem at cashier. If they ask for it they'll scan the barcode or you can read out the number to them if that fails.

    • If you want a Vegan or Rebel Whopper its probably best to order in the app. You may easily pay more than $1 in store for swapping the burger, as pointed by earlier comments, and from my experience.

If however you just want a simple whopper (no cheese), in store is better.

      • Never usually had an issue substituting. Those pdf vouchers said you can in the small print too.

May have to use my burner email for all these types of signups

  • My birthday today. Can confirm no minimum spend needed. They tried to scan and just typed it in manually at the register. I haven't eaten there in years.
You can also get a free Krispy cream from 7 eleven and burger at Hello Harry's. Sure there is more birthday freebies as well :)

It's not a real whopper unless it's meat lol. I ordered a rebel by accident. Never again, substitute meat has a long way to go.

it's fine, think they taste pretty good. Your pallet wouldn't be used to anything different I guess.
Neither are health foods but the veg equivalent usually ~30% better in terms of sat fat and cholesterol.
Can't convince some people either way.

  • Ah, I think the posters on to something…

Some one once told me about the food chain, they said:

Quote:"those that get in first leave their mark, those that don't try to reinvent the wheel, others watch and follow in the most grotesque hainus, insecure way, no matter what the cost, but others just watch and observe with no participation blaming others why."

    The food chain.

  • Seems this has now expired - never received the voucher on the account the last few days (birthday set for Jan 9). No email received and I refreshed the app a few times (as well as checked on desktop browser). @scrimshaw @alvian (already reported this deal before therefore can't report again)
