I'm looking at dipping my toe into shares and was after recommendations for good share trading apps that are easy to use, have relatively low fees (per trade) and a good website for desktop use. Thanks in advance.

Superhero is also good as they have $5 per trade and free ETF buy orders. For new investors I'd always recommend ETF's as they give you the market average return.
Stake and Superhero are better IMO, they also give end of the year tax reports unlike thinkmarkets.
Self Wealth unlike some of the other platforms doesn't use a custodian model

If you're selling a lot the others may be more beneficial for cheaper sell trade fees
CHESS sponsorship, refering to the holding. How about the cash holding, are there any protection when broker go bust?
Pearler all the way - i've done 15 or so trades so far which were entirely free. Sign up using a referral +50 credit, your birthday +10 credit, special event days such a fee free trading.
normally i think they cost 6.5$ per trade and are CHESS sponsored. Good UI
I use Stake which is $3 per trade. Trades get cheaper by $1 if you refer someone or $0 is you transfer your portfolio.
