I dont think any leader wants war.

Maybe those corruption and evil people who are keen to cash up on insider trading based on the blood of the innocent.

    Overwhelmingly negative reviews now

Thats the first game I have seen on Steam that has Overwhelmingly negative reviews.

      It's a disaster is why

Aussies can barely play 130 plus pings are normal

Servers are a shit show,if you can log in

and the install is 65 gb at like slow as (profanity) 1.2-2Mbs

It wont be viable a few weeks from now

      • +12

Young'ns these days just can't relate to playing an fps with a 3 digit ping. Back in the day of Quake TF and even early CS days a 130 ping was a dream. But yeah i hear you.

        • I had 200 ping on dial up when i played cs 1.5

          • @Homr: Those are rookie numbers. I had like 300 to 350

            • @Budju: I was pwning cablers on telstra servers with my dial up connection and everyone thought I was hacking / netcoding

              • @Homr: I never had more fun playing CS than those brutal lag days

        • I'm with you. 130 ping is actually fine for 90% of people.
I played CS since beta 5.2 on 56k for most of that and ISDN (90ish ping) toward the end.
I now sometimes play Warzone with mates on EU servers with a 200 ping and it's not terrible.

        • Of course cause why would anyone want to play an FPS especially at 3 digit ping in 2022. The more competitive the gamer the more ping is cared about, and people are more competitive in games than ever.

Even ping as high is 70 is enough to cost people hundreds of thousands at the highest level in certain games, but of course the 99.9% aren't concerned about that.

I surely remember those days, would be crying if technology went backwards again ha.

        • +1

Lol that remind some of playing counter strike back from beta 0.3 up to 1.0 and tweeking the config file to maximize ping for my dial up connection.

            @Kiro: cmdrate 10
            cl_updaterate 128
            cl_rate 10

            • +1

@Homr: ahhhh so many memories of loading and disconnecting then modifying.

back and forth through terminal etc…… the nightmare never leaves.

              • +2

@Kiro: Some people go next level.

They will config it when they click left mouse button to fire it will also update the rate to maximum levels so the bullets registers more to other players and then default back to minimal levels when they are just walking so bullets won't register on the user.

                • +1

@Homr: i use to bind shooting on the mouse wheel, scroll up and down to fire and with the UPS - it was a pistol that can fire as quick as you can press the mouse button, for scrolling it registered multiple button presses so in theory the fire rate was insane.

accuracy was out of control but rate of the 12 rounds was crazy fast.

                  • @Kiro: How does that work? Your recoil will be a mess

No point having such a high fire rate when you can't hit anything

                    • @Homr: yeah, but after a while you go use to it and anticipated the recoil although not so well.

if you got a kill in the first round at least is was $$$ in your next round budget or if your team won you had the upper hand.

i really like the glock on the opposing side as it had the triple shot (burst) mode which had a high damage output if 3 rounds hit, almost on par with the deagle.

                  • +1

@Kiro: You could do that with the dual berrettas when they were released.
They were still absolutely garbage though lol..

                    • @Deviner: They were more than garbage, i dont understand why they were put in the game with absolutely crap and you and i know really crap specs. Tried them a few time but i would have spent the dollars on the mac 10 than them.

Then again the mac10 in beta was an absolute killed. 1st shot always in the same spot so light tap for semi mode to kill awpers.

            • @Homr: It's mad how r the commands for rates are complete muscle memory still 😅But I'm sure cl_rate didn't work, it was just rate.
Your rate should be in the thousands and your updaterate is appropriate fir DSL but your cmdrate is of 56k haha.

But the biggest game changer was ex_interp when it first became widespread. So good.

              • @Deviner: oh yes, ex_interp was so hax. It made you move around and unhittable

        • +2

I used to play CS from the first beta with 400 ping with no lag correction, had to lead shots by a football pitch.

Just watched a youtube vid about this game. Looks awesome. Glad its free

    • +1

      Don't bother it's dead already

So many bugs and server issues it's gone from 15,000 to less than 4300 in a day

  • +2

Those reviews have me convinced to try it since they are overwhelmingly negative.

213mb launcher to download a launcher
Now the launcher is downloading a 65gb game…

That means that every update the game has, you'll have to start the launcher to download the update. I understand the hate now.
I bought GTA V through Rockstar and every other month I feel like playing the game I start their loader and have a few gigs to download.

No Aussie servers. No indicators there is ever any intention of releasing it. Move on.

still 18 bucks for all dlcs to get the full game. No game is ever complete with out all the DLCs and expansions…

  • +1

Since when is a beta game offering a bargain?

  • Good deal, prepare ourselves for any incomings :P

  • Overwhelmingly negative lol

  • They're marketing this as a tactical FPS?

  • Let’s not

how to make an overwhelmingly negatively reviewed free to play game:
    - Make the game require you to download an additional launcher via steam
    - only once you register and load up the launcher do you then find out the game is over 65gb, and can only be downloaded via said launcher (not via steam)
    - max download speeds on said launcher are at about 1-2mb/s….for a 65gb game
    - If you decide to be patient and wait for it to download, ruin everybody's experience by giving ALL players 3 digit pings like its the 90's

I own this game and paid I think maybe $30 for it a few months back. The actual gameplay of the game itself is decent but unless they're added Oceana servers back to it it's pretty much unplayable due to the terrible lag that never really improves only undulates between annoying and unplayable. Unless they have added oceana servers back in I wouldn't bother trying to play (they existed a year or 2 ago but then were removed).

  • Played this game a couple of times, gun play was great, feels better than the latest AAA titles. This was during the beta, the major downfall however is the high ping.

  • Downloaded the game and got stuck on 'Initializing Interface' for a good hour. Saw some fixes online which did not help but somehow magically made the game uninstall itself. Waste of bloody time
