    Was $3397

Was $1498 according to Google Cache. What's with the misleading price comparison?

      • +29

        https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/pricing/price-displays#wha…

        What are misleading prices?

        Misleading prices may include:

        • a ‘before’, ‘was’ or ‘strike through’ price that is not the price those items were sold for in a reasonable period immediately before the sale period started
        • ‘savings’ or ‘discount’ statements when compared to the recommended retail price (RRP), but the goods have never been sold at the RRP or the RRP does not reflect a current market price.
        • So ~10 days is the threshold of "reasonable time"?

          • +11

@dav3: What about this snapshot taken 2 hours ago showing it was still $1498 prior to this sale?

            • @m9: So you're telling me companies can't further reduce items that are on sale?

              • +4

@dav3: Looks like comprehension is not your strong suit. Comments above are about misleading price comparisons.

  • This or Bose 500 with bass module

    /s

    • Very different systems. Soundbar + Sub gives you simplicity and minimal look however for surround aspect the 5.1 system would offer better performance.

  • Can you do a deal on a receiver to go with this?

  • +14

Please stop doing this fake RRP nonsense, it is making you look bad.

    • +1

I'd be avoiding a companies that does this kind of thing. Had to neg this one

  • Just can't be bothered with all the extra cables.

  • +2

Per ACCC Guidelines the "discount" isn't fairly advertised. Have a neg

a ‘before’, ‘was’ or ‘strike through’ price that is not the price those items were sold for in a reasonable period immediately before the sale period started

Here, have a neg for your deceptive behaviour.

  • +3

Can i hide these kind of sites. so that i can ignore any future so called deals as well.

How is it allowed that perpetuating tomfoolery is allowed to continue?

Thanks to the commenters for making it obvious that this site and it's users are being disrespected.

  • +1

    Have another neg for deception.

  • Not hard to get the previous price point correct. Still not amended in deal after being called out. Pretty sad.

  • So with all these negative votes, it must be cheaper elsewhere?

  • Have another neg for deception.

  • Yeah giving a neg for being a bunch of (profanity)

  • Thanks OP. Bought one.

  • How do these front speakers NSF160B compare to the NS-F330?

  • Disgraceful behaviour. People would have been happy with the $500ish discount but making it out to seem like it is a $2.3K discount is bs.

  • Are these good speakers for the price? And if not does anyone have any recommendations in the price range?
