Some call it the poor mans SKX007. They're not wrong. Regardless, this is a lovely watch for the price.

Often around $249 / $269 mark with starbuy.

No mesh bracelet on Starbuy [SRPD73K-2]

Oh right, bought the green one with mesh, for around $250, hence my comment.

      • That's no loss, plenty of other bands/straps that would suit.
Mesh is a very acquired taste, personally not a fan although probably very comfy.

Id get this to be honest, and a mesh band if that's your bag

    • Different style but valid option, not sure why getting negged.

      • Ok well, isn't exactly relevant but an option none the less. Some people just happy to pay for the Seiko brand regardless. The brand recognition is good just not always the best value for the specs these days.

    • heaps of good alixpress SKX style watches too, get sapphire and NH35 for like $150 on sale, and usually much better milled bracelets

  • Great entry watch, bought the green one with mesh for $178 on amazon in march.

And it dropped further to $160ish a few months ago

    • Was it posted here?

  • My next seiko will be the Seiko 5 GMT. Please keep an eye open for deals on that one for me!

With the oyster band? It's a beauty.
It's not real GMT though, right?

      • +1

Yeah I believe it is considered an "office" GMT, not a "true" or "flyer" GMT…

I like the red mesh bracelet version for $249

    • +1

Looks like they've dropped that to match Starbuy $249.00

      • Well what a surprise, it's gone up now the Starbuy Weekend Sale has ended.

    • I've got the watermelon mesh one and it's very nice, definitely my pick of the current Seiko "5KX" series short of the new GMT ones (when their prices descend from the stratosphere).

Don't pay more than $249, Seikos RRP is nothing to go by.

    • SMH.. Just saying $300 isn't the best deal..
People fuss over $2 bonus cashbacks but don't want to save $50 straight away on these.

PS the new Seiko nh34 GMT movement sounds ok.
