Bought a seconds pair 6 months ago for a similar price, great kit, don’t see how they were seconds. You’d be mad to buy “new” ones instead of these

  • I bought one of these seconds pair last year. Seemed brand new out of the box, however, there was a rattle over the left cup with any vibration, making travelling with these on public transport extremely annoying and I had to return it.

How's the return policy on this?

      • I returned it even after the allocated return time (30 days) and they made the payment after around 2 months after they received it. Took a bit of gentle reminders.

  • Why do these have a 'B' at the end of the name?

    Thanks

      black?

      • +1

        Ahh, I see. Thanks!

    • +2

      Black I believe

  • Is it Oos already?

  • Is this good to use refurb ?

I saw many people complain about quality and also Sony service
    hard to exchange or refund.

    Thanks for advice

    • +2

Haven't had any issues with mine so far.

Quality should be excellent as it comes straight from the manufacturer.

    OOS!

  • +1

    ayo how these oos already

  • Is it worth buying the previous WH1000XM3B model?

    • +1

I upgraded from WH1000XM2's to the XM4's and didn't notice any obvious change in sound quality or mic quality. XM4 build quality seems slightly better, and the ear sensor to detect when you remove them might be useful for some. If you're buying for the noise cancelling, it seems about the same (which was already really good). The same should apply for XM3's

    • +1

Yes, for the right price. Some people would actually argue the XM3s are better than the XM4s.

Not sure how, but they do have their supporters!

    • I've had my refurbed XM3's for over a year now and have been really good. Read a few people saying there wasnt much difference between models to justify the extra cost which is why I went for XM3's

      • I went from XM2s to XM4s, only upgrading coz the XM2s broke (gardening in the torrental rain). Handy feature for me is being able to connect to two bluetooth devices. It will switch between sources from my phone and my iPad when media has been turned on on one of them.

  • So annoying. Literally got an email from them yesterday saying they didn't know when it'd be back in stock.

    • +1

Can't say for certain but usually in 3-4 weeks time they have more stock. It's happen a few times. You just need to keep and eye out on their page on eBay.

  • BACK IN STOCK. I just bought for $259.47.

  • Also looks like they have the white available for $264 minus the $18.48 with the code.

Thanks OP, was waiting for the silver to come back in stock!

  • Thanks OP. Was eagerly waiting for this to come back in stock. Just ordered a black one as an upgrade from the Soundcore Q30, mainly for WFH (Teams/Zoom/Skype) and for listening to music etc. Cheers.

    • Back in stock!!

  • Thanks jollster101 - got the wife the silver ones she's been waiting for! Coupon code was a nice bonus too.

  • $60-100 savings sacrificing any further warranty beyond the 1-year.

Wonder if Sony is good for returns/replacements if something does arise.

  • Anyone who got these, how are they?

    • +1

Received the silver ones yesterday that I ordered above - box was shrinkwrapped and looked new with nothing to indicate they were seconds; no marks on the headphones themselves, also looked as-new; only slight giveaway for me was the headphone jack cable had obviously been unfolded previously as it wasn't as tightly coiled/wrapped as a new one, but everything else in the packaging (paperwork, etc) seemed new.

Wife seems very happy with them.
