I've been eyeing this tent/range for some time for a future camping trip, seemed a decent deal so I pulled the trigger.
Snowy's website warns of long delays for delivery due to adverse weather conditions in NSW and VIC, but in my case I had time to wait.

    That will just be 5 degrees C. Less sunlight = less heat (apparently)

    Sunlight doesn't get inside so it doesn't heat the interior. Just like blockout blinds and tinted windows reduce interior heat.

    personally I have found it reduced interior heat more than 5c - with a flimsy tent fly, the heat build up was dramatically higher than 5c vs ambient outside.

  I went to feel the actual weight of the package in store (Anaconda) and it is very heavy so I pulled out. Just couldn't picture myself loading, unloading and packing..

    a lot of the weight is from the additional pole for the awning. you can have these poles on separate bag or maybe don't bring all of them to the trip. Most the time I have only use two poles for 1 awning.

  I have the Instant up Gold 6 Man and that could easily fit 2 kids and 2 adults. Really impressed by the tent.

    Yeah same… no post to FNQ. Shame or I'd be all over it. My old tent is getting a bit leaky now after all these years.

  Use the Oztrail tourer 240 (6p) for 2 adults and 2 kids and its perfect, 15 mins to setup and pack away solo. Love that it fits behind the front seats

  I have this tent, it's great. Loads of room for 2 adults and 2 kids (1 bedroom each and middle section for storage). Best price I've seen, we got it at Anaconda on sale for 699.

  The darkroom aspect is very dark!
